I passed the beast of a test I've been stressing over for the last month. 125 multiple choice math questions, covering everything from basic math sense, through geometry and trig, probability and statistics, to calculus and linear algebra... in under 4 hours... with no calculator. My brain hurts... ...

Merry - if it makes you feel any better, my MMR series was never completed either... because the first shot GAVE me the measles. Since then I have been very prone to other rashes. (Poison Ivy, heat rash, etc.)

*hugs for Hosk* I'm sorry you lost so many, and I'm very glad you are still around to remember them, and to share their stories with the Hosklings so that they live on. If you ever want to share their stories with others, I'd gladly listen. I was afk for the holiday, spending time with my family. I ...

Yeah, anything on the market right now is going to be people who bought just to scalp. It'll be a while before people who were planning on going run into other obligations and sell their passes. Buying second hand... patience is a key.

Standing in line at the register at the grocery store today, a little girl was in front of me with her mom. She looked at me and said "hi," so I said hello. She told me her name, and I gave her mine. I told her she had a pretty dress... and we talked about her dress for the next few minute...

Re: #YesAllWomen

Just a short comment to add to the 'fear' discussion. #YesAllWomen is not about building fear. It is rather the opposite; it's creating environments like the discussion here for women in particular to realize that no, they are not the only ones who deal with this. It's okay to talk about it, it's ok...

(hi Matt, we've missed you. - the forum) I don't identify as a feminist, and I'm female. I will identify myself as female, heterosexual, a graduate student, and a sister/daughter/niece/cousin/aunt... but that's about as far as I go. I don't identify myself as very many things, because those labels t...

I also forgot to mention that the reporter dude assumed the guy was heterosexual or even sexual at all. I'm assuming this was still referencing the incident in California? If so, the 'reporter dude' didn't assume anything. The misogynistic self-entitled jackass published several YouTube videos expl...

Re: #YesAllWomen

Another note for those of you wanting to put numbers to this problem. One major reason that using conviction rates of sexual crimes is inappropriate is because a vast majority of assaults/rapes/sex crimes do not ever get reported because of the resulting distress/shame of the victim, and a significa...

That said, in the past I saw more women saying that they didn't need a man to stand up for them, and that was because women thought they had to do it on their own, or else they would never get the respect from men, but it quickly turned out that men were more inclined to listen to men. That's when ...

For anyone interested in google hangouts, there is generally one running through the desert bus chat. Sometimes that is my only human contact on a given day, (hence it's inclusion in my X2Y... slideshow?). But... it's not the same as meeting in person. 3.) I didn't win the X2Y contest... so my video is going, but I'm not. That sucks.
