Re: GPLP: X-Men Destiny

Man, that dialogue exchange with Juggernaut was pretty silly. I haven't read many comics with Juggernaut, but I'm willing to bet that he's been dumb down considerably in this game. The only story I've read with him in it was from Amazing Spider-Man from a year or two ago, and he wasn't anything like...

Re: GPLP: X-Men Destiny

On the topic of unoriginal powers...well, for the most part, that's true. At least, as far as I know, Marvel doesn't have a whole family of speedsters, like DC (prior to the relaunch).

Side note:Marvel has a Hulk family, now =D

Re: GPLP: X-Men Destiny

Don't feel bad, Graham. I, too, kept pressing A when near the machines. Also, I quit playing when he got all big and cheap-shot'd me. On normal difficulty >_>

Re: FRIDAY NIGHTS: Friday

You guys are seriously making me want to get back into the game, but I REALLY don't want to be where I was before: blowing money on packs and making crappy, but fun-themed decks.

All this talk about making the SA forum happy and Graham's forum pic makes me think that, unless he doesn't get anyone to like him, he'll eat nonstop out of depression.

Re: GPLP: X-Men Destiny

Gambit is in the game. I believe he's the boss of Chinatown, or something like that. I don't think mentioning it would be spoiling, since, ya know, it's an X-Men game.

Re: GPLP: X-Men Destiny

Sorry, but I forgot to mention that, within the logic of Earth X , every living creature has the inert gene to allow for crazy evolution. Whether it's activated "normally" via the X-gene, or by way of radioactive spider-bite or gamma bomb or vita rays, etc. Though, it has been a while sinc...

Re: GPLP: X-Men Destiny

One of the many reasons why I don't care for the X-Men. They started off as just being mutations, and now they allow for wackado magic and crap. Earth X made it all so much simpler, in that anyone with powers really had an inert gene that allowed it to happen, as oppose to simply dying from radiatio...

The HD is awesome, and this game is awful. Seriously, Activision should have just released HD'd versions of the X-Men Legends games.

Re: GPLP: Dante's Inferno

That's what got me interested in the game. I like to think that, on a parallel Earth, this game is a point and click adventure game. Seriously, I feel sorry for the art team at Visceral.

Edit: Tim Schafer should do that with the Kickstarter money!!!!

Re: GPLP: Dante's Inferno

I can see how they can be similar, except for the last one, since Dante has to go through Purgatory to get to Paradise to be reunited with his lover.

Edit: Then again, you've pretty much described any number of climactic battles and their endings.

Re: GPLP: Dante's Inferno

Just to be clear, I'm not some kind of uber-fanatic about the game. As mediocre as the game was, I dug the art direction (Cleopatra's baby-boobs and Lucifer's dong notwithstanding). I would like to see that same, crazy vision applied to the other stories, however boring and uninteresting they may be.

Re: GPLP: Dante's Inferno

I could see how purgatory could be made into a game with a healthy dose of artistic license, but Paradisio has almost no drama what so ever, its just Beatrice giving him a tour of heaven. I don't want to be a jerk about it, but did no one see the snake crawl away, with Lucifer laughing before the s...

Re: GPLP: Dante's Inferno

The thing is though, Satan, from what I recall in the Inferno, is actually frozen into the ice himself as well, while chewing on the three most treacherous men in history, including Judas Iscariot. There really aren't chains holding him down. And then, to leave Hell, Dante and Virgil climb down his...
