Re: Venting Thread Gamma
Just was in a long debate about if Negative Rep should be added too, and the main argument why it should be was "Because the forum should be mature enough to handle it." and basically started taking pot-shots at people who didn't agree with adding the Negative Rep system by saying things ...

At this point I feel rather special with my single BitN. It may be the only solo card left in North America by the time it reaches LRR in Calgary.

Re: Second Annual LRR Forum Secret Santa!
Just a thought from someone who wasn't involved this year - I've seen a number of swaps on sites like Ravelry keep lists of "swap angels" willing to fill in for missing swap partners. You could ask for a couple of "secret elf" volunteers next year who would be willing to send out...

Re: Fitocracy: LoadingReadyRunners
I took a quick look on the Fitocracy forums and it doesn't look like there's a way to enter pedometer steps as such. I would suggest measuring your average stride distance and multiplying by the number of steps to get a rough distance estimate and enter that instead.

Re: Fitocracy: LoadingReadyRunners
Ok, so I just hit level 9 and decided to look at the LRR leaderboard for a laugh...
How the hell did I end up in the top 20?! Out of 68 people?! I must be doing something wrong (or right), but either way I has a confused. A pleasantly bemused confused, but a confused nonetheless.
Huh.

Re: money tricks and frugality (kinda)
At the Good Earth coffee shops around here a large London Fog costs around $4.80 (can't remember the exact price). A tea misto costs ~$2.30 and a shot of flavoured syrup costs $0.65. Ordering an Earl Grey tea misto with a shot of vanilla syrup instead of the London Fog saves around $2, as long as yo...

Suddenly, that 600+ points for a weightlifting class no longer seems excessive. Oof.

Re: Fitocracy: LoadingReadyRunners
Alright, joined last night and actually went to the gym this morning. Level 3 in one workout, the points for a BodyPump weight class seem ridiculous. Fitocracy forums said to log it as a bootcamp class, so that's over 600 points right there. o.O Maybe I'll find my 'get healthy' ambition again, it we...

Polyamory is wrong!
It's either polyphilia or multiamory, but mixing Greek and Latin roots? Wrong!

I assume you've found the patterns available at www.spritestitch.com? That's where I found the Mario patterns I made for the first craft-along.
Good luck, the quilt sounds like it will be a lot of work but definitely worth it!

Re: Your Favourite Desert Bus 5 Memes
The kazoo was much better this year, probably because it was used more judiciously rather than being in everything at a volume that drowned everything else out. It's much better as an accent than as a focus. Despite watching massive quantities of DB, I still managed to miss the whole Dunkee thing......

Yeah, my money is on Wil Wheaton or JoCo, or someone of similar stature (Nathan Fillion?). Woody Tondorf has already said he'll be in town, so I don't think he could be considered an unconfirmed mystery guest. I'm excited to see who it is, though.

As far as I know, that's what the donor accounts are for (at least partially) - people without donor accounts can't bid on auction items. I think there's also a new system/section for bidding, or that's what I've gathered from reading in various places. Fugi, don't fret if it doesn't get fixed. It's...

Fugi, don't sell yourself short. You've done excellent work with Desert Bus and Mario Marathon moderating, and that's just the stuff I've noticed. Roll the rest of your mod-ly team together and I am very appoint, indeed!

Aubergine, I hate to say it but it sounds a lot like an inner ear infection. My best friend had one a few years ago and it took a long time to clear up completely (several weeks, I think). Until it did, she had mild to severe vertigo and other lovely symptoms.
Hope everything clears up soon!

Re: Let's get psyched: Desert Bus: The (frankly terrible) Movie
Assuming this movie falls around the middle of LRR fame (thereby leaving room for the prequel(s)), this would mean that Tim and Matt would have their characters written into one person. As a result, Matt would have strange and unexplained character traits as well as an ambiguous past/connection with...
