Re: Let's NOPE pre-voting

I saw the first half hour or so of Albino Lullaby yesterday and it seemed sweet, so I added it to my Steam wishlist. Now, however, I'm seeing Alex's tweets from last night that indicate he really didn't like the game later on. While trying to remain as spoilerless as possible, can anyone tell me wha...

Re: New LoadingReadyLive Schedule page!

I get the strong impression the old streams aren't going away, they're just not on a regular schedule any more. Think of how often we get bonus streams lately when someone has time and feels like playing a particular game; I don't really expect that to stop in the new schedule. Especially as there w...

Re: Pro Wrestling Discussion Thread

What happened to women's wrestling? I was expecting to see more of it now that the Divas' title has been replaced with the Womens' title, not less. For the last few Raws, we've only had a single women's match, and it's usually something for the Charlotte v. Natalya feud. Becky v. Emma has really dri...

Re: All Done with MTGOAcademy?

That's a shame. I actually discovered LRR through the MTGOAcademy drafts. I watched a couple here and there as they posted them, and then when they re-ran the hat draft while G and J were busy with Desert Bus 6, I really grew to love the concept and went back to watch all of them.

Re: LRR Minecraft Server

After the CtS, I'm wondering if we maybe want to have a hostile map somewhere for the LRR community to play? Although, given the talent here (no, not me), it might get crushed too quickly. ;) That might be really fun. And when it does get beaten, we could always just start another map, there's a lo...

I found Roborally a little hard to follow too, but I think that was mainly because the robots all looked very similar on camera, so I kept mixing them up. I think that problem could be easily prevented by colour-coding them in the future, which could be as simple as putting a small sticker of differ...

I've been listening to the Hamilton soundtrack again and again lately. Some of my favourites: My Shot Right-hand man (George Washington's introduction) Wait for it "I'm a general! Wheeeee!" Marquis de Lafayette rapping at 8 words per second. Both Hamilton vs. Jefferson cabinet battles. The...

Re: Politics and the Vague Fear of Something Called Donald T

All of this political stuff that's happening right now is simply the fall-out of the more radical polarization of the country that has happened since 2000. This is why the radicals on all sides are coming out of the woodwork. You not only have Trump, but Sanders as well. 8 or 16 years ago, no one w...

WOW, the first file is 64 GB and 48 hours long. That might actually be the largest file I've ever seen. Hard to believe the stream managed to stay online uninterrupted that long.

As much as I love the longer loading times, I feel like this one was too much of a good thing. That said, I did enjoy it a lot.

Excellent choice on listening to the Hamilton soundtrack, by the way. Threw me for a loop when I thought my computer had spontaneously decided to start playing it.

Re: They finally did it... LRR got me to start playing Magic

Another very important tip that's probably not necessary since you're coming into Magic through LRR: winning is only as important as you feel it is. If you lose every game you play, but have a wonderful time at it, that's fantastic too. A lot of people enjoy playing really splashy and impressive stu...

Re: They finally did it... LRR got me to start playing Magic

A tip that took me years to realise myself is that smaller decks are better. The smaller your deck, the more often you'll encounter its best cards, essentially. So while making a pile of 200 cards that are all pretty good and all follow your theme might be fun (this used to be my deckbuilding strate...

Since I discovered LRR fairly late, I didn't know Bill until DB7, but it didn't take me long to love this fantastic, tall weirdo who casually got Steve Dengler to drive half his shift for him. I've since watched many of the older videos. He was such a hilarious guy and such a great sport as well. My...

MaRo actually did a whole podcast on the topic: http://markrosewater.tumblr.com/post/45 ... -homelands But yeah, the short of it is: Homelands is extremely underpowered and unfun, and since the longest gap between sets ever was between Homelands and Alliances, it really hurt people's opinion of the ...

The thing with being worried about the vintage and legacy crowd storming the wizards office if they were to do away with the reserve list, is from what ive read, that crowd is shrinking, precisely BECAUSE of the reserved list. Those formats are not accessible, and so fewer and fewer tournaments are...

Does anyone know why (and how) the reuploaded old videos don't show up on the Uploads page of the LRR Youtube channel? They're a bit difficult to find once they've dropped off my subscriptions page.
