So, Magic the Gathering House Rules...

I was just thinking about this the today (and will stop now, as I have important work to do) but back when I used to play Magic in middle school, pretty much everyone I knew played with the same set of house rules. I was wondering what, if any, house rules people have or do use, and what they are no...

Re: Venting Thread Gamma

Apparently all of you post during the hours I sleep. *grumble* I always miss things. In actual vents, no, I don't need yet another doctor. I already go to five on a regular basis. What makes you think I have time for more appointments? still got two more days open before it's a weekly gambit? In ac...

Re: This thread is so gay

I think bisexuals are more capable of having loving non-sexual relationships with people of the same gender than heterosexuals. I wouldn't quite say that, unless you mean romantic by loving. I have very strong familial and platonic relationships with male friends, and I'd use the word love for that...

Re: This thread is so gay

Let me offer, with those thoughts in mind, my definition of a bisexual. I believe that any person who believes themselves capable of a romantic, committed and emotionally honest relationship with someone of either gender is a "true bisexual". However, this is because I value emotional comm...

Re: This thread is so gay

That's very true, and exactly the kind of thing I'm talking about. I've been thinking about it because a girl I recently met (and have quickly entered a mildly complicated area with, but that's a separate story that you can read in the big relationship thread, if you so please) is bi. And it struck ...

Re: This thread is so gay

I'm not saying you did, but I am admitting that I did, and stating that I know others who do, and people I care about at that, so I'm more asking if people have run in to this kind of prejudice in others, gay or straight, and how they dealt with or helped people break through it. It's a journey I ha...

Re: This thread is so gay

so, here's something new: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=318DYr_K8J4 Rock on, Al, rock on. Anyway though, I wanted to bring up an interesting issue, which is straight and homosexual discrimination of bisexual people. This is often far more subtle and problematic, to me, as it is a very common kind o...

Re: The Big Relationship Thread

I got to say, Met, I don't think asking someone out via text or email (which are fairly private, person to person modes of communication) are in the same realm as using the semi-public sphere of social networking derp. I'd definitely class them closer to phone calls or the ideal IRL meeting and aski...

so far, so good. The only thing I would like is once more with her one on one in the near future, just to clear up some things on the friend side of things. Still, I'm waiting, and letting her really pull for or suggest things for now. I do have a book I want to loan her though. I guess it too can w...

So me and the girl who've I've been mentioning met up to see Eddie Izzard at the Holllywood Bowl tonight, with some friends. Was 95% an awesome night. Well, to further monopolize people's time: since things... evolved. We've had one, very quick, cut off interaction online (and probably won't have much more than that till I get back to LA, due to me being a virtual connectivity vacuum until I leave Lisboa, hotel's wireless is on the fritz). It wasn...
