Re: Oath of the Goatwatch Spoilers

I'm really curious to see the other creatures in this Legendary cycle. I mean, surely they're not going to break flavor and have a Legendary Eldrazi for UB, BR, and UR - right?
Also, yes, I'm obviously looking forward to seeing what they do for the GW one.

Re: Standard Discussion

Dark Jeskai, Ramp-into-Ulamog, and Abzan Midrange are the "tier 1" decks I've had to play against at FNMs around the area.
GB Aristocrats is probably the most common "tier 2" (or whatever) and I've gone up against someone using a WU "Ugin and His Son Ojutai" Control deck.

Re: Standard Discussion

Last night I went to a different nearby LGS. The store has much more variety in product than my usual one and honestly the people I played against had more innovative and/or fun decks to play against. I went 1-3 but I at least had fun. Goozled myself in buying packs, though. 3 for 10usd - sure Wynau...

In free-time, since discovering the wonder of MtG, I sometimes just type in random words to see what results I can get on Gatherer. :)

Re: Commander/EDH Deck Talk

Lyco: I think Rhys is only really worth it if you're going heavier into tokens, in which case also Trostani. But a few other powerful things to untap: Master of the Wild Hunt, Budoka Gardner, Mother of Runes. I'm probably not going to invest the deck into tokens. While Bant colors lend themselves t...

Rhys the Redeemed taps to make 1/1 gw elf warriors, but it does cost 2(G/W).

Re: Commander/EDH Deck Talk

What is it that you're looking to untap n there? Aside from keeping mana open and creatures to block I don't see all that much that you tap to do stuff. I'd suggest maybe trying to put a bit more of that in so your deck has a bit more focus to it. I'd especially suggest all token makers I'm not ent...

Re: Commander/EDH Deck Talk

Your deck seems to be a control deck that likes to tap/ untap stuff a lot. It seems very unfocused though. What is the deck's plan? I'm very curious as I never really build a deck without the deck having a theme or strategy in mind. I'll often just pick a commander and build around it. I haven't ev...

Re: Standard Discussion

I got creamed at FNM last night. Lost all 3 matches of the night: Ulamog Ramp, Dark Jeskai, and Esper Tokens.
I'm pretty sure I've decided to try to invest more in the Ramp route, now, but any other recommendations would be appreciated: http://tappedout.net/mtg-decks/23-03-15 ... e-eternal/

Re: Commander/EDH Deck Talk

Lycodrake: I'd say you could take out any of the following: Deceiver Exarch, Hada Spy Patrol, Icefeather Aven, Marang River Prowler or Mystic of the Hidden Way. Repeatable effects and one shot effects that change the board in a large way are king in this format, and these aren't the best creatures ...

Re: The General Magic: The Gathering Thread

At FRF pre-release, one of my packs had both a foil and a non-foil Yasova back-to-back. That and I've pulled 5 total Sarkhan Unbroken from FNM prize packs. In other news, I just got back from spending time with my best friend. He was wanting the Boros Commander 2015 deck, but the card shop I usually...

Re: The Magic Venting Thread

Jace, Vryn's Prodigy//Jace, Telepath Unbound's price is unhealthy for Standard. I forget the source, but I read an article how Jace's Dark Jeskai deck is comparatively much more expensive than Caw-Blade was from original fetchland Zendikar.

Oh, I appreciate and like the +1/+1 counter shenanigans, too. I have shades of almost all the "MtG player archetypes" except probably Spike, haha.
The cards you mention are definitely options and really fun to play with.

I haven't seen any dedicated G/W decks main-board the cards I really want to use (i.e. Surrak, the Hunt Caller; Dromoka, the Eternal, Dragonlord Dromoka), though.

I'm really not seeing how Ezuri, Claw of Progress really fits the Simic colors. The only similarity I'm seeing is Evolve, but even then I don't really associate 2- power with GU.

I also would like to see the "Powerpuff" Angels, especially Sigarda.
Why yes I am in favor of GW things how could you all tell? =P
And oh man, interactions between Werewolves and Wolfir would be great - good idea, Kapol.
