That's about as close as I've come to a relationship recently.

(The chainsaw had no blades in it)

Wait, that counts? BRB, updating Facebook relationship status.

Those beats are so fresh that all I can think of is the "white people" gif that kept popping up in chat.

Re: DB007

So I'm just gonna throw this out there, but I'm pretty sure DB7 has broken roughly all the records. Total earned, most earned in an hour, most earned in a shift, flushes... So, I think that it'd be cool if we could get an online version of the poster and have links to each picture/clip with what hap...

Re: The Big Relationship Thread

Don't be mildly nervous. Be confident or be an utter wreck, but either way, commit. I want to see you either stride into that room with your chest held high and a cocky grin on your face, or melt into a pile of tears and jitters in the corner. Don't just be halfway in between.

Re: DB007

Those of you having stream issues, that sucks, and I mean that genuinely. My internet refused to play nice last year, so I missed basically all of DB6. That said, this year a new internet setup has fixed all those problems, and I have been watching DB7 basically nonstop. I have gotten next to nothin...

I mean that in any given generation box, all the text is the same color. I think the color is fine, except for that last "Home Computer" box where the last line is black instead of white. It's the only one that's different, and it looks weird to me.

Re: DB007

Is chat dying a product of the chat server itself, or the dsertbus.org website? I guess I'm wondering if switching to a dedicated IRC program would be less crashy than desertbus.org/live/chat. Maybe it's just the opening of Desert Bus that's killing it, dunno.

Re: Advice Thread

I'm not a fan of how the text in every single box is all the same color except for that last one. I understand why you did it with the gradient being the way it is, it's just jarring. I like the colours, but I think putting the developer/publisher right after the name, before the console makes more ...

Actually this issue has always interested me. For my part, I've met teenaged girls, and for the most part, they're... well, they're teenagers. I have no desire to date someone who has yet to go through the maturation process that accompanies graduating high school and tackling the "real world&q...

WHIGS! WHIGS AND TORIES! And the Green Party too, just for some color. Ooo, and maybe we could get some of the American Party (the "Know Nothing" version) in there too. Throw in whatever party Nader is calling himself nowadays and we'll be cooking with gas.

The whole government is about the minority having the veto. There was nothing the founding fathers feared more than the general population of These United States getting riled up and making choices for themselves. To be fair, there is one thing they feared more, and that was a king. The three-part ...

@Lord Hosk: Agreed, though I'd amend that by saying that we're somewhat to blame given that we're the ones who elected these people into power. If there's a failure in the system, it probably starts with a failure of the general populace to make informed decisions that are in their long-term best in...

You know my favorite part of this whole fiasco? We're due to hit the debt ceiling on October 17th, if memory serves, which means that this shutdown is liable to bleed straight into another deadlock with nationwide consequences. Yeah, great job team! ...I will say that I'd held out a vain hope that t...

Y'know, I used to be squarely in that camp, and I still maintain that basing your happiness entirely on another person is terribly unhealthy and worse still unlikely to work. But the more life I live, the more I find that the idea of being able to make yourself happy all on your own is more self-del...

Realistically? Older generations. I know that's painting with a broad brush, but on the whole there's much greater resistance to acceptance of homosexuality (and all non-hetero orientations, for that matter) the older the age group you look at. Younger generations are more amenable to that sort of t...

Monty Oum is the "cool fight sequences" guy as far as I'm concerned. They brought him in on RvB a few years back, and I still remember the first sequence he worked on. He has such a distinct style that's full of flair and a slightly alarming sense of how the brain tracks action and movemen...
