Re: Research first. Outrage later.

Actually, you know what really gets me about this whole "research before outrage" thing? People who know nothing about a subject, read something bad about it in a paper (*ahem* Daily Mail) and then have a negative opinion of it based solely on what they've read. I love my mum but I've los...

Re: Justin Carter, or, Why Do Canadians Hate Free Speech?

I see the problem as being the disconnect between the society in which our judicial system was conceived and constructed, and the society we live in now. Prior to a couple decades ago, the average person couldn't communicate with millions of people except under extraordinary circumstances. The law w...

Re: The Big Relationship Thread

The real problem is figuring out how to tolerate being around the sort of person who turns toilet paper rolls the wrong way. I mean I'm all for tolerance and acceptance, but some things are just going too far.

Here's what I got out of the conference: blah blah blah Final Fantasy XV blah blah blah Kingdom Hearts III And then I didn't hear anything else because my brain melted out of my head. So props to Sony for that, I guess. Definitely. I did not expect to be this thrilled by Sony so fair play to them. H...

Re: The Big Relationship Thread

Say what you will, but the Ferengi had some very progressive ideas as a society. None of those ideas involved women, though, I'll admit. Although a book on how to pick up women written according to Ferengi culture might make for a great gift to that special douchebag in your life.

Doesn't this depend on what you prefer? Like personally, I find water with no flavor to be moderately disturbing, but given the size of the bottled water industry, I assume that there must be a lot of people who are into that sort of thing.
