Re: Magic: The Gathering: Whatcha mean, there's no thread ye
So I was wondering. Has anyone been fool enough to use Worldslayer without any form of protection for their own stuff? I've seen people combining it with indestructible stuff and the like for various shenanigans, but never without some way of coming out on top with it. Worldslayer is going to kick ...

Re: The Hijack Thread aka Elomin's Bag
Infinite pain? I disagree. I recall the timeless advice of my grandfather, who once said "Give a man a fire and he is warm for a night, light a man on fire and he will be warm for the rest of his life." Sadly he passed away in a tragic self-immolation incident, but I don't blame him. There...

Re: Mauling Matt
Let's say, hypothetically, that you were not Matt.
-What would you ask Matt, given the opportunity?
-Could you beat Matt in a kung fu fight?
-Who are you and why the hell are you answering questions in the Mauling Matt thread?

Oh, sorry. Didn't realise you still needed that. Give me a second... Ok, I'm on fire again. Please make this quick as it's surprisingly agonising.

Re: Magic the Gathering: Ask a Judge
Treacherous Pit-Dweller 's rules text says that when it enters the battlefield from a graveyard, target opponent gains control of it. Is that target opponent of the person who's graveyard it left or opponent of the person who previously controlled it? For example my Pit-Dweller dies and comes back ...

Re: Magic: The Gathering: Whatcha mean, there's no thread ye
*snip* I'm not really good at judging cards on the whole since I tend to look at them and go "Oh cool, I could combine that with this..." or "hey, that'd fit well in the deck I made last week" and base my opinion more on that. The thing is that rares are almost always very good ...

Re: Magic: The Gathering: Whatcha mean, there's no thread ye
I've always liked the undying mechanic, but never really had enough undying creatures to make an entire deck based on it. When my last DKA booster had a Flayer of the Hatebound in it I knew that would change, and then I drew a few good undying creatures from Avacyn... So the new deck had it's first ...

That seems a little pointless. Lowering people's attack won't affect the odds of the pokeball catching you.

I got 4 foils in my Avacyn fat pack, only one of which was in a Griselbrand booster. They were all blue though, if that means anything.

By Canadian law you are off the hook as long as you say sorry and the wronged party accepts the apology, and nobody up there would ever be rude enough not to.

*snip* Their one is more for the purposes of buying/selling/trading, I'm more after something that'd be helpful during deck building, so I could do a search for say green instants and immediately see what I have and how many. Thanks though. Card Vault isn't free ($30), but it is pretty comprehensiv...

Re: Magic: The Gathering: Whatcha mean, there's no thread ye
Does anybody know of a decent free database program that can be used to keep track of what magic cards you have and how many? I tried one someone else recommended (I forget what it was called) but the interface was crap and data input took forever. I can't be the only person that wants to merge thei...

I wrote a parody of "This is Halloween" by Marilyn Manson http://b4.ac-images.myspacecdn.com/02123/49/75/2123445794_l.jpg Aside from that I didn't think it was bad, but not great either. And Probably not terribly funny for anyone with only a passing knowledge of the game. My two cents any...

Re: Magic the Gathering: Ask a Judge
Q1: The Goldnight Commander and Havengul Vampire are both 2/2s. When the three humans entered play from Thatcher's Revolt all creatures you control would get +3/+3, giving you a 5/5 commander, a 5/5 vampire and 3 4/4 human tokens. Blocking a single human with his 3/5 trappers and the Commander with ...

And, of course, Titanic 2 already exists. Phage the Untouchable. I had to double check his mana cost but as soon as I read how Momir works I thought of him immediately. Maybe I need to get a life.
