Was it just me or was the boss fight kind of anti-climactic?

Re: Bastion

I really liked how the story didn't seem present at all at the start and then retroactivly starts making things from the beginning of the game matter later on.

Re: A simple observation

Is it me or have gamers gotten better at predicting a games quality by promotion, trailers and such alone (I was wrong abouts Arkham Asylum though, so it's not fool proof). Despite all the big names I got that, "no big deal" itch from this game.

So I got this yesterday and it is as awesome as I remembered. 1 tip though, the collectors edition has the soundtrack included (for the same price I gather). Get this version if you can. I didn't and I'm regretting it already.

Re: Attempting to start a D&D group.

In my experience, a good read of the rule books can go a long way. I had DMed (quite badly, looking back) in 3.5 but when 4th rolled around I jumped into DMing right away, without ever having played it. If you like improvising, donning different roles and personalities, then Game Mastering may be fo...

Almost all of my 15+ something decks were build by buying theme decks and adapting them 5 cards at a time, like Jay Moldenhauer-Salazar used to do when he wrote Building on a Budget at the wizards site.
I'm actually considering starting a blog to bring back that type of budget building online.

World of Goo seems really fun, but I'm not really strapped for cash. If no one else wants it I'll gladly take it though.

there are two of these, 2 PAX primes back to back. Also, Chris DMed for the writers of Robot Chicken (great watch if you haven't played D&D yet) and some British guys. Oh and R.A. Salvatore, Ed Greenwood and friends.

D&D Idea thread

So seeing as D&D seems to be an hobby practiced by the crew and many forumites*, I thought it would be a cool idea to have a thread to dump your ideas into. This could be Adventure, Campaign, NPC, Character ideas etc. that you think would be real cool to use but just don't have the opportunity t...

Guys, it's perfectly possible to kill Miranda: I did it. Put her in charge of the other squad while I fought the Reaper. Only she and Thane died, but i felt quite guilty about both. Miranda had a sister she left behind and Thane had a son (sure, he was dying, but there was still father-son bonding t...

He Jebus90, you may not have heard this news yet, but Wizards announced they are working on 5e edition and my gut tells me we can expect that somewhere halfway 2013. I don't really know how this will affect you and us other players (we haven't seen any of the new rules yet), but worth keeping in mind.
