Re: Loading Ready Sealed League
Whelp that's time folks, I'm currently counting 13 submitted pools so the next person to submit will get in (you know to avoid those pesky byes), after that we go to the pairs of 2 rule in order to join. With that said I'll try to get round 1 pairings up in the next few hours (currently watching the...

Re: Loading Ready Sealed League
re-posting updated guidelines with some verbiage changes (to make it the latest post and therefor hopefully easier to see) well then, lets kick this off now that SOI has hit MTGO; 1st - the requirements to submit: 1 - a screen shot of a regular sealed pool (that's a pool of 90 cards including basics...

Re: Loading Ready Sealed League
As far as sponsoring people goes, would it be kosher to enter a league, screen shot the cards, play the matches, then loan all the cards to someone looking to play? if you chose to help someone out, that is between you and them so I don't care how you chose to go about it....just as long as the poo...

I'm assuming I can take a Prerelease pool, pull out the promo card (easy to find because it was foil Sigarda), and use that? http://i.imgur.com/Ykb7gq3.jpg Username: AdmiralMemo Time Zone: UTC -4 How to put this...given I already made DeathNDecay update his pool (was a prerelease pool) I'm inclined...

Re: Loading Ready Sealed League
well then, lets kick this off now that SOI has hit MTGO; 1st - the requirements to submit: 1 - a screen shot of a regular sealed pool (that's a pool of 90 cards including basics) showing the build clock or league deck save. or 7 screen shots showing 6 packs (the open product screen) and your whole p...

Re: SoI Prerelease - How'd You Do?
now that this set has finally hit MTGO (and the fact that my LGS went under  ) I finally got to play w/ these cards and god was it fun...4 of the 5 (the other 1 was quickly won do to my opponent having mana issues 2 games in a row) matches came down to extremely close (both players below 5) gam...

Re: Eldritch Moon
Didn't Nahiri seal herself in stone until just recently? She's not old because she didn't age. nice try but...she left Zendikar long ago, possibly even before the Bolas Ugin fight (Sorin has implied that she might have instigated it). See the end of this story: http://magic.wizards.com/en/articles/...

Re: Eldritch Moon
So I want to ask a few stupid questions that have yet to be addressed and may shine some light on this: What is the life span of a Kor? My guess not much more than a human. So then why is Nahiri not old (Lili needed a pact with demons to stay young after the mending)? Which leads us to what is her i...

Re: Loading Ready Sealed League
Have you thought about using a website to do the pairings? I'm sure I saw one during the pre-pre-release and I've seen others before. For example I registered an account on http://challonge.com made a simple swiss, copied and pasted the names from the last league, selected random seeds and got this...

...but just due to (essentially) a die roll to determine opponent order... just thought I would say: you give me way to much credit "a die roll" would probably be an improvement in my pairing system once we get past round 4ish. also I see the merit in your power concerns so to put my plan...

Re: Loading Ready Sealed League
With the "2 losses = extra pack" thing, I'm not entirely sold on the idea. I guess it might just be that it felt like the bulk of my losses ended up being down to just unlucky draws or opponents countering well and being in a position to follow up. Basically, problems that wouldn't really...

Re: Loading Ready Sealed League
An idea I had as well is we could be able to cash in 2 loses for a pack ie; 0-2 at week 2 can add a pack to their pool, and someone else who goes 2-2 week 4 can add 1 (These players couldn't add another pack until they were 0-4 or 2-6 respectively). I think something like this could keep it fresh i...

Randus2003 2-0 Hacofo game 1 was a lesson in what happens when your 1st real play is a 5 drop on turn 5 while your opponent curves out with in R/G glass (there my of been 2 of 3 nettle drones in play) game 2 was a little closer on the front end w/ them flying high while I pecked in on the ground......

Randus2003 2-1 Auserker
ggs....there where some mana issues in games 1 (me getting stuck on 2) and 3 (them getting stuck on 3) for each of us in turn but if all games in this league (win or lose) played out as great as game 2 (so swingy and so fun) I would be a happy LRRFan player.
