Re: Venting Thread Delta - Now With Easy to Follow Rules

On a related note I wish to vent on how expensive cinema tickets are in the United Kingdom. I paid £11.50 last Friday to see Captain America: Civil War. Back in Canada, it only would have set me back $11. The exchange rate is currently £1 = $1.86.

Re: Foods What We Have Made And Eaten

Tonight I made what is becoming my typical Sunday dinner - roast vegetables and pan fried salmon. I just slice up some potatoes, a carrot and an onion and roast them in the oven for an hour with olive oil, sea salt and whole cloves of garlic. I don't fry the salmon with any seasoning or oil. Simple ...

It is probably a side effect of LRR focus shifting to streams - you have the chat right there to talk about things.

I just remembered that I have been on the forums for 11 years now.

I have been paying far too much tax. Hopefully the British tax system works as it is supposed to and I get a refund.

Re: New Vanilla 1.9 Server!

Can I make a couple of suggestions for navigating the Nether tunnels? First, can we also have signs saying which cardinal directions correspond to which tunnel? Second, it is quite easy to make a wrong turn when leaving a Nether portal you are not used to and start walking away from Spawn when you m...

Re: Politics and the Vague Fear of Something Called Donald T

Blocking the supreme court nominee is quite risky. If Clinton, much less Saunders, wins the election, you would expect a much more liberal nominee. If Trump wins, who knows what sort of justice he would nominate.

There is also the risk the obstruction affects marginal senate races.

I recently read Sex, Drugs and Cartoon Violence: My Decade as a Video Game Journalist by Russ Pitts. A former editor of the Escapist and Polygon recalls how off the wall the games journalism is.

I am still trying to read A Brief History of Seven Killings.

I did the Liverpool Half Marathon this morning in a time of 2:23. My legs ran out of gas at about the 14 km so it was quite an effort to finish. I have now done half marathons on three continents (Melbourne, Victoria and now Liverpool).
