Re: Commander/EDH Deck Talk
I wouldn't advice putting in stand-alone combo in a deck, maybe unless it is a Control deck with few ways to win. It's better if the combo pieces can do something interesting on their own without getting in the way of other cards from your deck. That said, Commander is all about these small weird co...

I won with my Sydri combo deck once just swinging in with Sydri for commander damage. The 11 turn clock is so OP.

Re: Tiny Leaders
After seeing some people play TL at the LGS yesterday I finally put together a decent deck instead of my "placeholder" Kiku, Night's Flower and Tuk-Tuk the Explorer decks. I build an Anafenza deck, since I had a lot of good cards in these colors and a good manabase for it. The list looks l...

Re: Modern Masters 2015 Discussion
I am not a big limited player, I draft from time to time and play sealed at the prereleases so I'm looking at MM2015 mostly from the constructed perspective. I think it's great that they reprinted so many of modern playable cards, there will be more of them on the market and they will be easier to g...

Re: The depressing depression thread
It's good that you decided to share Phi. It's even better that you are already seeing a therapist. You are strong, you can go on with your life. No matter how shitty life life seems, you can deal with it. If you feel that your therapy isn't working, maybe talk to your therapist about changing it? Ha...

Re: Friday Nights - A Fine Rotisserie
This episode was sooo good, I really enjoyed it. The Pro Tour Alex's Kitchen made me laugh so hard. The counterspelling sequence reminded me of the iconic scene in Dirty Harry. "You have to ask yourself a question: did I cast 5 counterspells or only 4?"

Re: Commander/EDH Deck Talk
You could use some ramp too. Sol Ring, Solemn Simulacrum, Burnished Hart, Myriad Landscape. From you maybeboard Burn at Stake, Eldrazi Monument and Goblin War Strike are great cards for this kind of deck. You could probably make great use Coat of Arms

Re: Commander/EDH Deck Talk
You should cut the one shot burn spells, they aren't very good in EDH. You could swap them for some artfacts that work good with Krenko, for example Ring of Brighthearth or Illusionist Bracers. Chancellor of the Forge would be a good addition to your deck too.

I'm surprised that no one mentioned Knowledge Pool + Teferi, Mage of Zhalfir combo. It's a real pain in the ass both to play against and to explain how it works.

Re: Magic the Gathering: Ask a Judge
The copy will have rebound, but the delayed triggered ability won't work. Rebound works when you cast the spell from your hand, the reminder text is very precise about that. Copies of spells are not cast from hand, they are just put on the stack. If this spell was cast from your hand, instead of put...

-2 Curse of the Swine -2 Gold-Forged Sentinel +4 Ornithopters +2 Negate + 2 Disdainful Stroke in the sideboard. Other good addition to the deck would be the Ghostfire Blade cause it can make some of your draws extremely explosive and hard to deal with for the opponent. Also your deck will have probl...

Re: The General Magic: The Gathering Thread
I don't know how competetive you want to be, so forgive me if I will sound too spikey. You really should run some Ornithopters and maybe some other cheaper artifact creatures, otherwise all the aggro decks will run you over before you cast anything relevant. Maybe Ugin's Construct would be good, sin...

You can run Mycosynth Lattice for land destruction. Also tons of mana ramp and all the good colorless guys you can find and afford. The mana rocks can serve double purpose as haymaker if you need. Kuldotha Forgemaster to find specific cards. Krark Clan Ironworks or other way to sac artifacts plus Sp...

Re: Commander/EDH Deck Talk
I just really want the deck not to be based around any specific card combo or even have a very focused theme. I want it to be kinda like a multitool I guess? I'm also a huge spike so I want to be able to do powerful things. I looked at multiple lists and I think I will build it a little bit like the...

Re: TTC - State of Highlander
Mardu kinda died in standard after FRF. I don't really know why, but I guess there wasn't place for two midrange decks in the meta and Abzan won. It may be because Mardu didn't really got to play with new toys like Taisgur or Ugin.

Re: Commander/EDH Deck Talk
Managed to finally buy a Damia, Sage of Stone and I really want to build an EDH deck with her as the commander but I really don't know how to build it. I know for sure that I don't want it to be focused around combo, because I already have a combo deck. I can surely just put all the staples in Sulta...

Re: The General Magic: The Gathering Thread
Your deck seems fun, you have a lot of +1/+1 counter interactions. You could upgrade you manabase with Temple of Plenty but it's not necessary. I think that addition of Valorous Stance and Dromoka's Command could make your deck much better though. You could replace Return to Earth and Sandblast with...

Splashing blue is definitely worth it since it gives you access to not only the Renowned Weaponsmith but also Ensoul Artifact and Reality Shift, as well as potential counterspells in the sideboard.

Re: Building a Mardu collection
The Holiday Gift Box is cool but not without its problems. The dividers between the rows are sometimes unevenly cut and bent out of shape which from my experience can slightly bend the cards if you are not careful. That's not the case for all of them of course and you can fix them easily, but if you...

After all the RG Dragons and Mono Red splashing green for Atarka's Command hype it seems that actually the new dominant deck in Standard meta is Esper Dragon/UB control splashing white. There were 2 copies of this deck at the TOP 8 of Pro Tour in Brussels last week and 5 identical copies in the TOP ...

The link to your deck isn't working Kapol :c Or at least it isn't working for me. Just got back from GP Krakow, it was crazy. There were so many pro players and it was so strange seeing them in real life instead of computer screen. I was playing in the main event and went 3:3 and then dropped. I'm f...
