Typer, typer, burning bright In the notepad of the night What incomp'tent hand or eye Can frame thy fidgeful symmetry A little poem I just wrote in the midst of a round-the-clock writing marathon, when I realized I'd typed just as many words of proper work as I had a silly blog post I got sidetrack...

I was just listening to the track on Bandcamp, and I just noticed that in the Commodore verses, not only is it "singing," but there's a computerized harmony track in there, too. Very detail, much impressive. Huge props to Bradley for the music.

I'm a Christian, and while I appreciate Beej's disclaimer, I laughed so hard at the dog's-butt-looks-like-Jesus story. It does look like him, or at least the standard representation of him. And, as always, Kathleen for Romanian Princess in 2014! I'm still supporting this in the hopes that there will...

The thing with Pride and Prejudice is that the characters aren't just caricatures. Lizzy Bennet is considered one of the most complex female characters in literature. She is not just a pretty face and coquettish flutter of the fan, as many characters of the time are, and she isn't just a blank slate...

This pops up in my Christmas music on iTunes every so often. Still really fun, and actually one of my favorite Christmas songs.
Also, Technographic Wonder Sleigh is my Trans-Siberian Orchestra cover band.

Speaking as a former English major and occasional Shakespearean actress, Modern English is for scrubs and casuals. Early Modern English is where 'tis at, sirrah. Takest thou that, standardized spelling!
(There is something to be said for Old and Middle English as well, but I'm not fluent in those.)

Were we meant to see that phone number when James starts getting messages? I can't help but feel that someone's phone number just got broadcast.

But, yeah, as personal little Desert Bus does good story, I've taken up exercising while I'm working my way through watching all of DB again. I've done it 3 years now and while it of course ends after I finish it in a few months or so, I still tend to be in a lot better shape over the holidays than...

QWERPline and Gay Bar just completely broke me. Like, I've rewatched QWERPline 2, 3 times now? And I still lose it at ASS the Musical. QWERPline still breaks me every time I watch it. Especially once Alex falls out of the chair, because eventually you get to a point where watching them lose it is h...

Yeah, I spent the entire auction thinking, "They're auctioning silica gel. They are actually auctioning silica gel. Are you kidding me," but this morning I realized that it wasn't about the silica gel. I think they could have auctioned almost anything at that point, and people would have g...

some mystery benefactor that we never conclusively found out who was ($10K) Until I have conclusive proof otherwise, I'm going to say it was Notch. His Twitter denial was a little too suspicious. I probably saw anywhere between 80 and 100 hours this week, the most yet. I forgot what day it was two separate times, and fully QWOPped out at least five times. I wish I could have donated this year, and that I hadn't had to back out of the Craft-Along due to migraines, but maybe I'll have the time...

I like the fact that many of us (myself included) have these very long quotes that would seem very expensive to carve into stone or cast into metal.
If you're going to die, why not make your final wishes as inconvenient as possible to your loved ones?

I'm also not sure about the "3 weeks" comment. I was in London for a week last year (3.5 days when you account for arrivals and departures), and we didn't do nearly everything we wanted to do. (Then again, we also spent our entire first day at the Tower of London.) I'd love to spend 2 week...

"Who's active at 5:30 in the morning?"
My sister, who's a barista. Her coffee shop opens at 5:30 am, six days a week, and since my sister is a shift manager, she often has to work the opening shift.
This is an especially funny Feed Dump. Cam and Alex should co-host together more often.

I feel like the only thing this is missing is for Nin to just snap and start shouting at Mark, but I guess Nin's just a better Buddhist than I gave him credit for.
