Re: The Force Awakens.
I really hope that Rey isn't a Skywalker. I think its a lot more interesting if she isn't Luke or Leia's daughter. Just someone else who has a strong connection with the force. We have already had 6 movies about Skywalkers, its time someone else tried to save the galaxy.

Re: Oath of the Goatwatch Spoilers
The way I was (and somewhat still am) worried it will be similar to snow mana is screwing up limited. There was a local draft that used an entire box of... I believe it was Ice Age. They didn't see a single snow-covered land in the draft. And you couldn't just add them in, reducing the values of th...

Re: Oath of the Goatwatch Spoilers
How is this functionally different from a 6th color of mana? That's EXACTLY what this is. Colour doesn't refer to just resources used to cast however. This doesn't affect domain, it doesn't affect sunburst, or converge, or any other mechanic that cares about colour. When asked to choose a colour, y...

Re: Oath of the Goatwatch Spoilers
Whats really frustrating is people calling this "The biggest change in the history of magic" or saying "Wizards has backdoored their way into a sixth colour". No they didn't. They didn't do any of that, nothing changed. Stop confusing people. The one criticism of this I fully agr...

Re: Oath of the Goatwatch Spoilers
Is anyone else surprised by how much confusion the new colourless mana symbol is causing? Very little has changed. The only change is in notation, and allowing a spell to require colourless mana to cast, as opposed to any mana. Even sources I generally consider reputable have explained this either p...

Re: Oath of the Goatwatch Spoilers
I was all for these spoilers until I saw the expedition. Something about the look of the symbol on the land like that, I find it to be aesthetically displeasing. That being said, my only complaint is aesthetics, and it could just be because its new. It would make perfect sense to clarify between col...

Re: AFK
I love magic and am very excited for the live magic but I agree they should try a large variety of things. Although I cant wait for a commander game or second conspiracy draft. As for games to play, more Hero's quest for sure, but maybe mix up the people playing a bit. Getting James, Heather, Cori, ...

Re: Am I bad at Youtube or is a ton of Friday Nights just hi
If anyone finds it helpful I made own Friday Nights playlist that goes in chronological order for when I want to rewatch (I also keep it updated for a few friends who like the series but cant be bothered to watch twitter or whatever for updates) You can find it here https://www.youtube.com/playlist?...

Booster: I didn't know that was possible... Neither did I, I assume it was a mistake. I wish I hadn't been sorting, or had counted as I went so I would know if it was an extra card, or if it was a non foil when I should have gotten a foil (perhaps an expedition!), but I think the pack probably just...

Re: The General Magic: The Gathering Thread
Was just cracking the packs from my Fat Pack and I opened 1 pack with 2 non foil rares, a March from the Tomb and a Cinder Glade. I don't know if there was an extra card in the pack cause I was sorting as I went, but I thought it was kinda weird to get 2 regular rares

Re: Crossing the Streams
The Hero's quest stream was incredible, I cant remember last time I laughed so hard, I was nearly crying at parts. I really hope we hit the next Patreon tier soon, I would love to see more Hero's Quest in particular, Id never heard of this game before and it looks sweet.

So cH universe LRR now has access to both time travel and mind control... I do not foresee this ending well...
I wonder if Beej's immunity has anything to do with the meme stream incident.
Great episode LRR! As soon as I had watched it once, I had to watch it again

Re: The General Magic: The Gathering Thread
That's the thing though, the demand for full arts is definitely a huge factor, but the Canadian dollar has dropped a LOT over the summer, so that will drive the price up as well. So I don't know what price is appropriate to account for just the plummeting dollar. The only reason I'm looking to buy o...

Re: The General Magic: The Gathering Thread
I have a question for my fellow Canadian magic players here. With the dropping Canadian dollar, what do you think is a fair price for a Battle for Zendikar fat pack? I'm seeing everything from $45 to $65 online.

Building a U/B control budget deck (=no fetches), and I am not quite sure what to replace Dissolve with. Scatter to the Winds seems like the best option, but until the late game it is basically just Cancel. Is Clash of Wills better? What do you guys think? Here is the plan so far: http://tappedout....

Hey folks, I've been running this CoCo Elves deck for the last few months and am looking for suggestions on how to keep it playable past rotation. Specifically, I don't know what to do about the loss of Reclamation Sage and Chord of Calling. Any advice for those, or any other rotating card would be ...

I went 2-2 with an aggressive red-white build. Didn't open anything too exciting, Void Winnower is probably the best thing I pulled. I took my sister though, shes just getting into magic, and she managed to go 1-1-2, I was pretty impressed she did so well on her first time out
