Re: Design a Card

The only way to _not_ get skeletons is to remove its abilities; I'm okay with something benefiting from being exiled, but it should be _only_ if exiled, and it's rather out of flavor here. I understand you want synergy with unearth, but doing so can't come at the expense of flavor and balance. It's...

Re: Design a Card

I just had this idea, and I wonder if it's any good: [name] 5BR Creature - Dragon skeleton Devour 1 Unearth 4BBRR When this creature leaves the battlefield, put a number of 1/1 skeleton creature tokens onto the battlefield equal to the number of 1/1 counters on this creature. If this creature was ex...

Re: Magic the Gathering: Ask a Judge

Gitrog monster, living plane, pyroclasm. How many cards do I draw?
I just read the rulings on Gatherer, so no need to answer this one. Read the rulings, almost as important a mantra as read the cards.

Question: He uses the latent energy of the aura attached to him to make the saprolings. However, he can only do it each upkeep because that's how long it takes for the auras to recharge. Question: Mageta is a spellshaper, so he has access to powerful magics. The spell he has is unstable, which is why it requires two cards to be discarded, and is simply meant to utterly destroy all creatures within a specific radius of him, likely by purifying light, since he's white. He can't contro...

Re: Magic the Gathering: Ask a Judge

Now, I'm not a judge, so take this with some salt, but I believe the answer to your question is No for contamination, because it is what causes the land to produce B, not an ability of the land itself, but Yes for Urborg, because it makes everything a swamp which means that every land produces a typ...

Re: Commander/EDH Deck Talk

http://tappedout.net/mtg-decks/gluttony-of-the-planes/ So this deck hasn't worked out as well as I'd hoped when I made it. I need to figure out some way to increase the number of repeatable token generators while still keeping the curve low. A lot of my recent decks have kind of just fallen into pl...

Since all of your elementals are "sac at end of turn" guys, maybe a 1 of Omnath, locus of rage wouldn't be remiss? If you get to 7 mana, he's good at helping you close the gap.

Re: Standard Discussion

I'm no good at brewing a deck with this, but I had an idea: BW demonic pact sacrifice stuff. Get the good stuff from Demonic Pact, and then sacrifice it to one of the several white effects that care about that, like angelic purge or bound in moonsilver.

Even better would be 2 partisans, then using brain in a jar to cast a second descent after the first one's targetting triggers all resolve, since they resolve before the spell.
