Re: The Mixed Emotion Thread

I haven't showered since Tuesday I think. I washed my hair to give the illusion of cleanliness for the past week. Today I ordered a pizza because I'm out of food and don't want to have to go outside all gross but I can't be assed to actually shower. Stayed up until 4 AM last night fucking around wit...

Re: Minecraft Realms Server?

It's been my experience that there's rarely over 10 people on at once. Usually I'm by myself or there's 1-2 other people. Only times there have been more are for server events. It seems silly they don't offer more concurrent players for more $$ though or we could raise the cap to 20 and never have a...

Re: Minecraft Realms Server?

My response at least was just an offer. That if you chose to start the server and it took off I'd be willing to chip in.

Re: The thread of win

Succulents and I seem to get along somehow. I'm forgetful and negligent with watering, but they're quite forgiving. I've gone months without even thinking about them and they're still alive and okay and even flowering when I eventually remember they require moisture. On that note, I acquired a new s...

Re: Minecraft Realms Server?

I miss playing Minecraft and it sucks by yourself. I miss the community. I'd be down. I'd also be willing to cough up $10 a month into the forseeable future.

Re: LRR Minecraft Server

Does anyone have any recommendations on server hosting? I could cough up some $$ for server space but I've never done it before, can someone give me some advice?

Yeah I know, hence Mixed Emotions. :P I'm happy I got it after months of stalking but the delayed gratification is killing me! So close, yet so far!

Glad someone can relate though. :) Hope your package arrives swiftly!

Re: The Mixed Emotion Thread

After a lot of obsessing (my specialty), I managed to order the Fire Emblem Fates Special Edition, which was like impossible to get. 3-10 copies per EB Games, sold out everywhere including Best Buy, Amazon, Microplay, retailing on eBay for $300+, etc. I finally managed to snipe it when it went up on...

If that's in response to me, no pressure. I just miss my half-finished skydisc on the Uno server. I never got close to finishing it and every time I check the server's down. :( Don't worry, Memo.

Re: The depressing depression thread

It's ironic you mention bupropion, betsy... The lab I work in studies bupriopion (though I don't specifically). As such I do know it better than the conventional SSRIs. The doc said she couldn't prescribe it to me though, unless I could be diagnosed with ADHD (not likely, and testing costs $2k) or i...

Re: The depressing depression thread

I'm collapsing this so as not to disrupt the existing discussion. My depression is getting worse for some reason. For a couple years now I haven't enjoyed my prior hobbies. I just do them to pass the time. I still procrastinate. I didn't have the energy today to leave the house. Nothing feel...

Re: Venting Thread Delta - Now With Easy to Follow Rules

This goddamn course! So back in Summer 2014 I took a course that was necessary for my grad degree. However, I wasn't technically enrolled in the program at the time. As a result, the course doesn't show up on my transcript. This course is required to graduate... but the Grad Office has no indication...

Re: The Mixed Emotion Thread

There is no middle ground for me between missing someone so terribly it aches constantly and being so cold and detached that no one can get in. I don't know how people say goodbye to someone without suffering for days afterward. It always feels like I can't see them again soon enough... It's like I ...

So long time, no post... Me: I'm a nerd. D: Yes, but I want to help you see you can be more than a nerd. You can be a nerd and something else. Me: I am something else. I am a nerd and I am myself. D: I'm trying to get you to be more of yourself. Me: Maybe the myself you think I am is not the myself ...

Re: Advice Thread

The issues are mainly: 1. I'm shy, and he's new. 2. He lives in the basement and I'm on the upper floor (likelihood of seeing each other is reduced) 3. No one in my house really talks to anyone else. I can go weeks without seeing anybody, even if they're all home. I've had roommates whose names I've...

Re: Advice Thread

I have a minor predicament I'm hoping someone might be able to help with: So my apartment has 3 parking spaces: 1 in the garage, 1 in the driveway, and 1 in a parking lot 5 min (walking) away. I live in Ontario so it's fucking cold out right now. I have a new roommate who also has a car. I currently...

Sick of one of my relatives continually pointing out I'm a girl and should therefore act a certain way. He's a pretty liberal guy too and he knows me very well so I have no idea why he keeps saying things like, "One day you might find makeup/getting dressed up fun" or "Aren't you goin...

Re: Venting Thread Delta - Now With Easy to Follow Rules

Yesterday I tried to practice the presentation I have to do today in front of my lab. I nearly threw up. Even in other presentations I've never gotten that anxious. I stopped being able to speak coherently, started shaking, and then felt waves of nausea coming over me. My supervisor was kind enough ...

Re: Venting Thread Delta - Now With Easy to Follow Rules

I have always operated under the impression that my value comes from what I can do for others. Otherwise I am called selfish and I don't want that, I don't want anyone to call me that again. People I have loved have called me selfish and I am, I'm doing my best to be otherwise, how can I start think...

Re: Venting Thread Delta - Now With Easy to Follow Rules

Selfishness and the greater good conflict. The "greater good" implies that what I do positively influences the most number of people (i.e. utilitarianism). How can something I do be for the "greater good" if it only benefits me?
