I feel that pain. I love all of the SMT-verse games that I've played, but would it kill them to put in a "Casual Mode" where, on death, you just get warped back to the last savepoint with all of your stuff?
The latest Etrian Odyssey did exactly this and was all the better for it.

I never understood that. What's wrong with playing games on Easy?
Yes it can be fun to succeed on a challenging difficulty, but I'd still rather win than lose any day.
So I play things on Easy, on Settler, on Tourist, on "wuss" and I have a blast.
