Re: Books you're reading now
I am now reading Marlon James' A Brief History of Seven Killings . So far it features gangsters, politicians, Bob Marley and the CIA in Kingstown, Jamaica in December of 1976. Ten or so months later and I have finally finished reading A Brief History of Seven Killings . Given the number of characte...

Re: A little bit of science-y whimsy
Pff, 400 million years ago is quite recent in astronomical terms. I almost never think about how large the quantities I deal with in astronomy are in human terms. This is especially true if you use logarithmic scales. If you think of the masses of star cluster of being between 2.4 and 6.3 it is much...

Re: Venting Thread Delta - Now With Easy to Follow Rules
My home broadband has been out since Wednesday. An BT engineer was at my flat today and figured out that the fault is between my flat and the street. Unfortunately to access my building's telecommunications cabinet requires the 24 hours notice to the building management so I get to look forward to t...

Re: LRR is starting to lose me
I know that you are quite busy people and updating the website shouldn't be the highest priority, but it would be nice if videos appear on the website a bit quicker than they currently do.

Re: LRR is starting to lose me
I should mention that the only shows I watch live are Check Point and sometimes LoadingReadyLive. Except for LoadingReadyLive, I'm usually multitasking when watching the replays (most likely playing Minecraft).

Re: LRR is starting to lose me
In my day LRR only produced one short video a week and we were glad to have it. All kidding aside, I'm happy with the new streaming line up. Before the change in schedule I would only watch Check Point and Watch+Play. Now I am enjoying Tinker Tailor Solder Fry and Talking Simulator as well as Loadin...

Re: Advice Thread
I know WotC's HQ is in Washington State, and I know the BC Ferry has a stop in Seattle. One of the reasons I'm so excited for this move to become real is that I could visit Victoria once I'm settled in. To be pedantic, the ferry from Seattle to Victoria is not run by BC Ferries. The passenger only ...

Re: Rugby!
Both American and Canadian football did evolve from the Rugby football code of rules. Indeed, the governing body for Canadian football used rugby in its name until the 1960s.
One hopes the recent success of the Canadian Women's Sevens team will lead to a higher profile for rugby in Canada.

Re: Rugby!
My understanding is that rugby (by rugby I mean Union as League is virtually unknown in Canada) is better organised on the west coast. I played a bit of it in school and there is a relatively well developed amateur club scene. The national training centre is Langford which is just west of Victoria. ...

The multiple documentary teams being there to cover a bunch of video content creators while being video blogged was rather meta. You were getting into Quantum Documentary territory.

I am not going to go out of my way to watch this but if friends are going to see it I might tag along. I have gone to movies before that I knew were rubbish before hand (X-Men: Apocalypse, the 2014 TMNT movie) just to be social.
