Re: The Big Relationship Thread

I figured I should make an update post here since it's been a while. So, I broke my ~5 year long fast from relationships recently (as I mentioned here before), and a couple weeks ago she broke up with me to hook up with a girl co-worker of hers. It hurt, and I'm still a little hurt over how I was tr...

So is this when we start the "which couple will have babies first" pool? Because I think it'll be Takahata101 & Alex.

Re: Nexus 7 is it worth it?

There's a Nexus 10? My word. All of a sudden I feel kind of... behind... Yep, it's manufactured by Samsung, compared to the Nexus 7 which is manufactured by Asus. I'm more a fan of Asus tablets personally. Also, and since this may not be inherently obvious, the numbers correlate to the size of the ...

There is a variation of the 32GB model that has 3G support, it was released at the same time as the Nexus 10.

Re: Nexus 7 is it worth it?

It concerns me that I can't find a single review on the Kobo Arc from any of my usual android hardware pages. The biggest differences that I've been able to discover between the two units are: Kobo Arc: - Front Facing Speakers - 1.3mp front facing camera (no regular camera) - Dual core 1.5Ghz proces...

Re: Nexus 7 is it worth it?

I've played with one a bit, since my friend received a free unit from work. The device is solid, and runs the most advanced version of the most flexible and customizable mobile OS available. The battery is on par with similar mobile devices, as is the general performance. The cost to value ratio is ...

Re: Windows 8 vs Windows 7

Windows 8 can be made bearable if you work hard enough and don't have any other options. Or at least that's what my mother told me, after 3 weeks of fighting with it to do even the most basic things. Windows 7 is by FAR the best OS I've experienced from MS. I'd say it's probably the best OS I've use...

Re: The Big Relationship Thread

I usually just use Old Spice body wash and deodorant, but on occasion a small amount of cologne, if I'm going to something formal or want to feel more important :P Although I can't for the life of me either smell it, or figure out why, but more than a few people over the years have commented on liki...

Re: The Sex Thread 2: Because Two Hands Are Better Than One

Not all of us live in areas with local science fiction or anime cons. At least, none you would ever want to go to. Usually I find people just don't know about them, but it's true the convention scene isn't for everyone. There is also always FetLife? The kinky social network. Don't look it up at wor...

I'm getting 3 x 30ft lengths and 2 x 15ft lengths. I think it comes with emergency scissors.

@Dutch Guy: Go to a local science fiction or anime convention.there are plenty of kinky people in those communities usually.

@Dutch guy & Master Gunner: There's definitely an investment involved in getting started. My ordered rope is going to run me ~$120 or so. Although if you can find a local rope group, you might be able to borrow some. Time is a trickier one to solve. For me I just made the decision to prioritize ...

Re: Google First-party Augmented Reality Android Game? YES I

I DON'T HAVE AN ANDROID DEVICE DAMMIT. Or a iPhone. Or an iPod that can even get new apps anymore. Fricken' people with money. I was going to recommend the Nexus 7 for this, but since it doesn't have a regular back facing camera, it wouldn't work. Maybe look for cheap used Galaxy Nexus phones? They...

Google First-party Augmented Reality Android Game? YES IT IS

I just applied for an invite to the closed beta for Ingress, which looks like it's going to be an insanely awesome augmented reality MMO style android game, made by Google internal team Niantic Labs. Anyone else looking to get in on this? Here's the link to info about it: http://www.androidpolice.co...

Re: The Sex Thread 2: Because Two Hands Are Better Than One

I went to my first rope night last night. I had a really great time, despite not being able to participate directly (on this occasion). I can't wait to go back and get more involved. It's amazing how many bondage fans are geeks. At one point we were talking about tying up Ninja Turtle action figures...
