Going to the Brecilian Forest (Dalish Camp) and Denerim shouldn't pose a problem at pretty much any level, as long as you have access to the World Map. You'll still be able to come and go as you please. You won't be locked down for going. You might get ambushed along the way, so I'd recommend a save...

Pro Tip: Learn herbalism immediately on your main character. At least to level 2. Then keep the ingredients for making potions on hand at all times. They're relatively cheap (especially in comparison to potions themselves) and they don't weigh anything. You can find unlimited Elfroot at the Dalish C...

The ring of my iPhone sounds similar to the beginning of Frost Penguin's music from Megaman X. So often when I get a call, my brain will lead me to humming the tune which promptly gets stuck in my head.
