Re: D&D 5th Edition Announced
I am completely torn. On one hand, I have a huge collection of books that I feel will become obsolete if I step over. Yet, I don't know if I want to be a purist and stay with what I know. Let's just say I now know how the 3.5 fanboys felt.

Re: A quick Discworld question
Jack, i disagree with Neutral Good on Vimes. He will not murder people even if he believes it's what they deserve. In both Thud (with the deep downers in the cave, after attacking his wife and kid) and Night Watch (Carcer at the end of the book) he refuses to kill even though his dee...

Re: A quick Discworld question
Read the first 20ish pages of Jingo, fall in love with Samuel Vimes and then start the Watch series with Guards! Guards!
Thats what I did and Vimes is my favorite novel character of all time. (I combined him with Jack O'Neill to create my current D&D character)

@JackSlack: I personally would add 5. Does it really matter? If not, let the players decide. Great for when they ask for a name of a tavern and you draw a blank.

Re: Attempting to start a D&D group.
If you just want to give it a try, get yourself a Red Box and just go. That should give you a good feel for the game. If you guys want to go for it completely, here's my advice: Seeing as this is your first go at RPG's, I advice the Essentials line from 4th edition. It limits the options a bit for p...

I have 2 Valve off coupons (-33% and -50%) that I dont need, but I believe everyone is swimming in those. Also have a 50% off coupon for Konami that I'm not gonna use, if anyone is interested.

Re: Personal moment of glory
Along that line, I once grabbed a guy who had been bullying me and my friends for years by the hairs and told him he should really just quit it or else. he was alot less annoying afterwards and no one in the entire class ratted me out to the teacher (though I think she knew but didn't act on it). Bu...

Since a few months now I have be completely in love with the Guilty Gear Soundtrack. Never played the game (and never will, dont own a PS* or like fighters), but the music is great. The song that got my attention, played under a Deus Ex: HR short - Still in the Dark: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=H...

@aeric90: I don't see Battlestar Galactica in there, I'm assuming it's behind the first row, otherwise you should be ashamed and do something about it.
And Twilight Imperium is the only board game I own and it is awesome (If you can live with the huge playtime), so points for having that.

Graham, you have the best nazi accent I have ever heard, I loled every time you said something in that voice, well dong.
(Also, as I have mentioned nazies, does this trigger Godwin's law?)

That... was... BUSSING AWESOME!! Both visual and sound were at the top of their game and it was fun to do a walk down memory lane.
Was it the great lighting of the moonbase or did you guys get a new camera, because the shots looked incredibly clean in this one.

Re: Miniature Wargamers Assemble
I would check the codex for legal weapon combinations, but heads/bodies/etc. are never restricted and shouldn't be in my opinion. Heck, a few of my normal Orks Boyz have both a Choppa and a Shoota. Technically this is impossible, but it makes them look cool and even if it were possible the rules for...
