Re: Oath of the Goatwatch Spoilers
Oath of Nyssa is a hilarious card, and it makes me want to build a terrible 5-colour superfriends deck with a landbase made entirely of forests. In fact, if a massive pile of planeswalkers wasn't so hideously expensive, I would definitely do it.

Re: Oath of the Goatwatch Spoilers
They've stated colourless mana symbols will only very rarely be in costs. It's a special Kozilek thing. In fact, from what they said, it sounded like only Kozilek and his biggest buddies (this set's Void Winnowers and stuff) would have it.

Re: Oath of the Goatwatch Spoilers
How is this functionally different from a 6th color of mana? That's EXACTLY what this is. I don't mind it so much given they are errataing all previous colorless sources to produce it, but it IS a 6th Color. It requires specific resources to produce this exact type of mana to pay for costs of abili...

Re: Crossing the Streams
For the next Rumble, I'd like to suggest Guy With a Cellphone Man and Lady Landline, Dave's spokesman, Greg Smith-Imes (the professonal stabbist), the Gatekeeper, the fortune teller, and Arstotzka Andy. Not sure how many of them are actually possible with what the game allows, though.

Yeah, I'm super lucky it was right here. It was an amazing show, full of great performances. The recast characters (Anneke van Giersbergen as Fear, Wudstik as the best friend, and Mike Mills as both the father and Rage) especially surprised me, as they were all so very well done. I was a bit worried...

Re: Current Musical Obsession!
I couldn't possibly pick a favourite either. Especially since I saw the theatre version, in which Hope and Betrayal, two songs I find a little underwhelming on the album, were portrayed really amazingly and full of emotion, and it made me appreciate those songs so much more. When I'm listening to an...

Re: Current Musical Obsession!
I'll give Mostly Autumn a listen sometime soon! Loser is utterly amazing. It and Confrontation were the two songs that really made me go 'hold on, there's a story here and it seems interesting. I have to listen to this album again and pay attention' when I first listened to The Human Equation. Inter...

Re: LRR Minecraft Server
The Dynmap appears to have encountered an odd glitch. Take a look at layer-cake tower . See all that water running down its higher parts? Yeah, that's not supposed to be there, so when I noticed it I immediately went to check, thinking someone had griefed me. To my surprise, there was no water up th...

Ooh, that's making me happy just looking at it. The packs of Legions and Scourge just make my hands itch to open them; those were the first non-core sets I ever bought packs from, and I had such a good time with them.

The Human Equation is amazing, yeah, probably my favourite album ever. Very much looking forward to the DVD of its theatre version coming out soon. The performance was amazing; I'm very lucky that it happened right here in the Netherlands. 01101010101100101010101 has some utterly fantastic tracks, b...

Re: Current Musical Obsession!
I would recommend Nightwish too; I'm particularly fond of their latest album, Endless Forms Most Beautiful. Which is admittedly partially because its subject matter, the evolution of life, and the beauty of science in general, is something that very much resonates with me. I would also recommend Ayr...

Re: Desert Bus 9 Discussion
With the start of Desert Bus almost a month ago, does anyone else find themselves thinking back to what they were doing exactly a month ago and sometimes wishing they could go back? I have this especially right now, since both today and 13 november I felt rather down and worried about the future. Ex...

It's not a colour, and I'm almost certain you can't pick colourless if you can choose protection from any colour. The same goes for things that can produce any colour of mana; they can't give you bismuth mana.

I found this one very interesting, and just want to mention I'd definitely be up for watching a stream of Cam building a model. Or, for that matter, a LRRcast that's just Cam and Alex talking about the Cold War and how messed up it was.

Re: Oath of the Goatwatch Spoilers
Wastes and Kozilek have been confirmed on @wizards_magic's twitter! The square means colourless after all. I find it very weird that they are making this change mid-block, and can't help but feel BfZ things that produce colourless mana are going to feel very off in full-block drafts. That said, I'm ...

Re: Oath of the Goatwatch Spoilers
Yeah, I feel like if that symbol meant colourless mana, they would've introduced it with Battle For Zendikar. I think if it's real (and I'm not convinced it is, though the cards are good fakes if it's not), it's a specific type of colourless mana (presumably called Eldrazi mana). Like snow mana, in ...

Does anyone know if episodes 3 and 5 of Story Guy (Laundry and Vest) are up anywhere? I can't find them on the Youtubes, and the links on the wiki is broken, like all the blip videos.

I was thinking about the often-made prediction that the totals will plateau at some point, and I'm not sure they necessarily will. The amount of money in circulation certainly won't be barrier - not only because it's about a billion times more than we have ever collected, but also because it grows f...

It took me a while to recognise him too, but I'm pretty sure it's Graham's voice modulated an octave or two up. Once I recognised the Jonny speech-patterns, it was suddenly very obvious to me.

The map is also up for some reason. It's actually pretty nostalgic to take a look at it.
