Re: Inception (now with spoilers, marked on page 2)
Or, more precisely put, if 'dream' means 'film', then only the levels after they go under on the plane are the dream and film (in the analogy), the plane is reality and Cobb really lands, and really meets his kids again. We need a more broad interpretation for the whole movi...

Spoiler: In reaction to the 'the whole thing is a dream and an allagory for filmmaking': the whóle thing doesn't have to be a dream for this interpretation to work. http://chud.com/articles/articles/24477 ... Page1.html <- This article, posted earlier, positions Fisher as the audience, g...

Well, I skipped a lot, reading less the story but more the style. So, I'll have to try myself to actually really read it some time.

It is not an easy book to get through certainly (while I did take a few breaks from it, it took me a full year to read through it), especially if you have one of the poorer translations. Towards the end he also keeps slipping in more and more essays on Russian military history and the like, but you...

I'm reading 1Q84 by Haruki Murakami. I like it so far, it's a bit slow but Murakami's style of writing reads very easy. Favorite of all time? That's hard.. I like a lot of different things.. I loved Raymond Carver, but more his style then individual books, the House of Cards was very nice, by Daniel...

Re: Recent Movies Seen.
I finally finished watching Day Watch and Night Watch is definitely much better. I think Day Watch just went on for far too long. It was about an hour longer then it needed to be and the visuals just weren't as good. I also felt like I was missing something, that was probably in books. Next in my N...

There is only one of us
There's only one of us, parallel, nowhere to dwell.
Valuable and rare as well, thinking thoughts we're scared to tell.
There's only one of us, far apart, it's hard to start.
Looking for a star to chart. All alone and heart to heart.
