Re: Formal Complaint

I found it humours that the first LRR video not in the featured videos section of the escapist was called a formal complain. I was also a little surprised and disappointed not to see LRR up at the top of their site but as long as I can still find them I'm happy. The 'Featured Videos' on the escapis...

Re: A Research Survey About Fallout 3

Possibly but it actually drops some of the longevity in my opinion, they use (almost all) the same perks from Fallout 3, a game that once you had the DLC you could have 30 perks in, in New Vegas (assuming the case is the same, I don't have any NV DLC) that caps at 15. Perhaps I'm just spoiled by 3 a...

Re: Magic the Gathering: Ask a Judge

Thought that was the case, thanks for the clarification - I only started playing magic during New Phyrexia and some of the ordering with things on the stack etc. still confuses me.

No offense, but changing password and checking account history and transactions should have been the FIRST things you did, not posting here for over a day. ;) Nonetheless, hope things turn out the mildest possible conclusion for ya! I very rarely use my xbox these days so it just slipped my mind, I...

Re: A Research Survey About Fallout 3

Anyone have any idea why New Vegas changed from perk per level to perk per two levels? I never found the perks overpowered in Fallout 3, half the fun was working out which would benefit you now and which would benefit you in the long run.

Re: Black Mirror

Although I haven't yet watched the Black Mirror so I can't judge it as an introduction to his work I would recommend other avenues if you want to get a feel for mr. Brooker and his humour. He hosts an excellent radio show called 'So Wrong it's Right' in which a celebrity panel try to come up with th...

Re: Formal Complaint

Are you sure they were normal police carrying guns. Specialist riot police might do (I'm not sure) or they may have been carrying tasers (again, unsure), but if it was normal police with guns I'd be concerned. Even if it is a riot situation, I'm pretty confident they aren't trained to use them in t...

Re: Magic the Gathering: Ask a Judge

Ok so this is kind of a dumb question and I'm pretty sure I already know the answer but seeking confirmation: If I play a field wipe such as Day of Judgement or Divine Reckoning and the opponent has an Aegis Angel on the field does the Aegis Angel's targeted card survive or does the field wipe destr...

Re: A Research Survey About Fallout 3

You can never "do most of" Fallout 3 :D I know, but I had a week to play and really wanted to complete both - four days of Fallout 3 and I thought I must have seen most of it... Yeah, I know, that was stupid. Went on to New Vegas and didn't complete it anyway, got as far as meeting Mr. Ho...

@Geoff_B sadly on occasion I have to stop playing fallout 3, be it to get food or answer natures call, when this happens steam throws adverts in my face and on occasion I read them :P The driving is very much dependent on your ping, the vehicles are all controlled server side and for good reason, th...

Re: Old School Gaming

8 may be old school at this point, scarily it may be possible to class any game more than 1 console generation old as being 'old school'. The N64 and Playstation are now probably safe to call old school systems, even if one of my friends just bought an N64 last year after discovering Mario Kart at a...

APB: Reloaded

Ok so I never played APB when it was originally online but I quite Fallout 3 the other day and steam update news appears with APB: Reloaded as free to play - why not right? Turns out it's a lot of fun, if you haven't played it imagine Team Fortress 2, only you pick a side for good, you have a lot of...

I've been meaning to give this a go, if just for the fact it was written by Charlie Brooker, a man whom is both hilarious and grumpy - a man from whom we get the quote; "so what you're saying Charlie is... you don't like happy people." when talking to Reginald D. Hunter about Glee. The onl...

Check your credit card too, even if you think you never gave it to Microsoft. I don't use my 360 very often, but now I have some lovely FIFA achievements to remind my of my adventures in getting my account stolen. Just turned on my xbox for the first time in a month or so and what do you know - Fifa has been added to my games list, I can't remember what my points balance was though so now I need to figure out how to check my purchase history. Why Fifa? I'd understand big competitive games like Halo or MW but ...

Re: Skyrim on Xbox: Should I buy it?

Having done absolutely no research, would installing it to the Xbox hard-drive help? Or is it just a "XBox isn't powerful enough" thing? I doubt it's a matter of power, the xbox - while less powerful than the PS3 - should be powerful enough to run Skyrim, the game is far less demanding th...
