Re: World of Darkness Gameplay Thread
...y'know, you didn't have to cut yourself open. You were already bleeding from that wound you just got. No going back now! For the first time, Mark feels his tire iron meet flesh with a solid thunk, and the Ghost-Man howls in pain, crumpling to his knees in the pool of flourescent light. Coming int...

Excellent work, you've effectively recreated the sound of a machine gun!

Re: World of Darkness Gameplay Thread
The gun is loaded. It's got seven rounds in the magazine, plus one in the chamber.
Heidi's practiced hands release her and Nate from the handcuffs with ease, allowing them to finally stand up and move freely.

Re: World of Darkness Gameplay Thread
Nope, it's lying right there on the table. The table hosts: your pistol, your wallet, your keyring (which contains your handcuff key), and your phone. Nate's wallet and keys are also there. (He'll recall that he dropped his phone in Last Gas and it was subsequently picked up by Mark and Big Nate.)

Re: World of Darkness Gameplay Thread
Nah, I don't think a roll is necessary here. You're both shoving the radiator a few feet across the floor. If you wanted to actually pick it up, that'd be a Strength roll.

Re: World of Darkness Gameplay Thread
(Real life totally sucks!) Okay, Big Nate's one success allows him to find a small copper T-joint, apparently used for connecting three pipes in a system. It's about the size of his palm and has a hefty weight to it. This search is your action for the turn and so you don't get a chance to try your t...

Re: World of Darkness Play By Post: OOC Thread
Yeah, I don't see why not. However, just cutting your finger isn't going to be enough to coat your weapon in blood, if that is indeed what "dead red iron" is referring to. You'll have to slice your palm open, inflicting one point of lethal damage on yourself. (By the way, I told Jam this b...

Re: World of Darkness Gameplay Thread
Alrighty! Two successes between you is enough to rip the remaining rusty leg out of the floor. It's a heavy bugger, an old model made of iron. You won't be able to move it far, but you can shift it across the floor far enough to reach the table.

Mark can't take another action until his next turn, but he can let Big Nate know about the idea. Talking is a free action.

Re: World of Darkness Play By Post: OOC Thread
No, I don't think I can let you do that, sorry. However, you can communicate your idea to Big Nate and see if he wants to try. Talking doesn't take an action, remember. As for not finding weapons, you'll recall that you didn't get enough successes on the search roll. That doesn't mean there isn't an...

Re: World of Darkness Gameplay Thread
By all accounts, Big Nate's mighty swing should have brained Ghost-Man and sent him sprawling. But instead the heavy tire iron passes directly through Ghost-Man's head as if nothing is there. Ghost-Man's expression dissolves from condescending to bored. It's ???'s turn now. The door to the hardware ...

Re: Heroes Unlimited Gameplay Thread
"Perhaps you can kill the English some other time, Dougie," Kenji said coolly, following Dougie through the door and casually buttoning his jacket again. "All that matters is that we get what we came for and leave."

Re: Heroes Unlimited Gameplay Thread
"And you assume a plaster-encased robot and an angry Scotsman are going to provide sufficient cover?" Kenji quirked an eyebrow as he smoked. He gave a shrug and turned toward the building. "Regardless, we have little time. What little I saw of the building seems to indicate that it is...

Re: Heroes Unlimited Gameplay Thread
Kenji didn't move. Instead he reached into his jacket pocket for a cigarette and lit up. "Alternatively," He said, blowing a stream of smoke at the night sky. "We could infiltrate the police station as our mission entails and leave this thing to explode harmlessly in the parking lot?&...

Re: World of Darkness Gameplay Thread
Okay, so, Heidi gets a stitch in her side from attempting to lift her side of the radiator. But Nate finds enough leverage to get one leg loose out of the floor. The heater can now move back and forth in a small arch as if it were on a hinch. It seems like, if you swing out the radiator far enough, ...

Re: World of Darkness Gameplay Thread
That means that Nate, being the assistant, will roll first. Any successes on his roll will add to the success of yours. So if he rolls one success and you roll two, the action gets a total of three successes. Teamwork!

Re: World of Darkness Gameplay Thread
Heidi and Webhead: Just raw Strength is fine, I think. However, since the two of you are working together, this is a teamwork action, which means we need to figure out who is the primary actor and who is assisting. Mark and Big Nate: The Initiative order for the fight is thus: Ghost-Man-Thing: 14 Ma...
