Re: Custom cards - Playability assessment

But Psychatog would be returned to your hand. The biggest issue I can see with it is having multiple counter types on one card. That can get confusing. I'd probably change it to "-4: Draw a card for each spell cast this turn," or something like that. I'd also consider giving the chicken so...

Re: Custom cards - Playability assessment

So much off color shroud/hexproof in this thread.

Also, templating would make it a 3/5 that gives other angels +0/+2.

Re: Top 5 Boardgames

Alright, I finally have righted one of the wrongs in my board game education; I've been playing Settlers on Catan a lot for the past week. It probably ultimately beats Risk on the list, because it's got all the backstabby politics, in a much more elegant game design. The game is quick to learn, and ...

Memo; for what it's worth, I enjoy conversing with you, and feel like you're one of many members here who make the community great. I understand that you have some sour opinions on some of the members of the community (i.e. namely Lord Hosk), but you, in my experience, always are aware of the commun...

Re: The General Magic: The Gathering Thread

I think that the change really promotes the "fun Magic night" atmosphere that they want to cultivate for FNM. By not forcing a store to adhere to one of a few select competitive formats, FNM can become a more community-stylized event, which is a very positive change.

Re: Books you're reading now

Slaughterhouse-Five by Vonnegut. I'd like to read more science fiction (I am open to recommendations :)) and I want to get hold of some of Asimov's Foundation series. There are a few other books I began recently, too, which unfortunately I've had to temporarily abandon. I read Slaughterhouse-Five p...

Re: Star Citizen - Dogfighting Module released!

Wow, that crowdfunding spike.

Also, I love, Love, LOVE these commercials. I think they plan to have television (lore equivalent) sets in bars at spaceports. Not sure what they have in terms of shows, but the commercials will be worth checking out the television for alone.

It's worth noting, however, that it's no exactly the same as the one you made; this will randomly select any legal target, not just ones with the same controller.

Also, have a random number generator ready, dice probably won't cut it :P

Nope, land is provided for you.

Actually, the last GP I went to was a few weeks before M15 came out, and we all got M15 lands, so that was kinda neat.

Re: Teach Me(et all) Your Religion!

I don't think you can pick semantics over word choice in a book that has been translated countless times, and dealt with thousands of years of linguistic evolution. I think the best you can pick out of the bible is broad meaning, because arguments like the one above aren't about the book itself, the...

Also, bring a separate box to put any singles you buy in. I'd recommend having some sort of backpack with you, something that you can easily keep an eye on and can store anything of yours in, and you'll want it to be pretty durable and something that you need to actively work to get into, so it can'...

The only assumption I made was that you hadn't backed the game, if you have, fine I'll acknowledge that. It doesn't change the ignorance of your points. Star Citizen also has far more ambitious goals than Elite. Multi-crew ships, FPS/Boarding Action, and individually detailed/tailored systems/starpo...

The Reclaimer is sweet. I think my ultimate goal is still just to be flying around the galaxy in a Connie, but if I ever find salvage to be an appealing enterprise, I know what to get. Honestly, even if I just find myself wanting a cargo ship, I may get that instead of a "typical" cargo ve...

The power level will be entirely dependent on what cards you have, but I'm willing to take a look and see what can be cobbled together.

My top 5, in no order: Arkham Horror Carcassone Dominion (if it counts) Zombicide Risk (If only because I'd credit it with being the game the got me into board gaming at a young age.) That said, and I know this is heresy, I've never played either Settlers of Catan or Ticket to Ride (takes shelter). ...

WHOA! I just was randomly rewatching this loading time, and I realized, the LRR-esque music in the background is a Bradley Rains composed version of New Order's Blue Monday.

Mind. Freaking. Blown.

Now I gotta see what other songs he's redone and provided in other videos.

Re: The KHAAAAAAAAAAAAANs of Tarkir Spoiler Thread

Delve is a cost reduction mechanic. The costs always seem inflated. Go look at cards with Affinity or Convoke, you'll see they got the same treatment. It's a very powerful mechanic in an interactive format. I don't expect many of them to make the grade in standard, but in Modern or Legacy, it's a qu...

I think a big part of being successful is knowing your location and having a good atmosphere. If the location and atmosphere work, the limited menu shouldn't be an issue, but it's certainly a high-risk prospect. I do feel that by making each dish diverse, you mitigate that, somewhat.

Exactly: Stuff where you have a bunch of small text you want your viewers to read is when you need 1080, so it's really primarily up to what you plan on streaming.

Hasn't Scottish Independence been sort of similar to Quebecois Independence in terms of support, historically?
