Yes. Kangee is looking for feather counters, not just feather counters put there by their own ability.

Re: Limits on freedom of speech
It's probably worth getting out of the way the very obvious stuff where I think almost everyone is ok with limits - speech that directly causes tangible harm. Even in the US, the First Amendment does not protect you in the most classic example of this, the old "shouting fire in a crowded theatr...

And as I said, like with the other words, I know why there's a difference in language on various words, due to history and culture... But double standards just don't jibe with me and I don't like them. I think it's important to understand that words meaning different things, or being more or less a...

Re: Feminism general thread
I think there's two aspects to it. First, even if two words have roughly the same meaning, they can be more of less offensive. Poop vs shit, for example. You would need to talk to a linguist, or possibly a sociologist, to explore how this happens. Secondly, words can't be separated from the context ...

What happened today? They'd been averaging 20 backers a day, and then got 300+ in a very short time. Not that I'm complaining, mind, I'm just curious. I'd say it was the teaser, but there was a day or so lag between that and the new backers.

Re: It's On - Australian Federal Election 2016
Previously, voters had the choice of numbering 1 "above the line", casting a vote for a party ticket, or distributing preferences "below the line". You didn't actually explain what the change is. I'm in the slightly odd position of all of this affecting me greatly (living in Aus...

One option to map it would be to watch some TTC videos - they use it (and another, similar, green one) to roll for the crack a pack. You should be able to get a few more angles on it.

Jenelmo - As I understand it, it will be available to all, for free, online (first for the $12+ tier people who can "attend" the online premier).
And then, after it's all said and done, it should be available as a DVD or Bluray.

Re: Magic the Gathering: Ask a Judge
RA is going away, I believe, because it (as you said) doesn't actually do anything. It was a nice thing to have, but the rules are only one aspect of judging. As for becoming a level 1, you'll need to find a level 2 judge. Eventually they will interview you, and have you do a test (a longer version ...

7/1/2012: You can see everything that player can see but you normally could not. This includes that player's hand, face-down creatures, his or her sideboard, and any cards in his or her library that he or she looks at. Note that they can concede at any point if they want to prevent you looking at it.

Re: Magic the Gathering: Ask a Judge
This is correct. When you cast Lightning Axe, while paying the costs for it, you will discard Fiery Temper into exile and trigger madness, but the madness trigger won't go on the stack yet. Then the Axe is put on the stack. This will trigger Chandra. Now, before anyone gets priority, State-Based-Act...

4/8/2016: If you copy a double-faced creature, Altered Ego will be a copy of the face that’s up when Altered Ego enters the battlefield. Because Altered Ego is not a double-faced card, it won’t be able to transform. If an effect instructs you to return it to the battlefield transformed when it leav...

Re: Magic the Gathering: Ask a Judge
Yep. Despite having quite the busy day, swapping controllers, becoming a copy, etc, somewhere in the list of continuous effects that apply to it is Awaken, which means "Become a creature, be an elemental, be 0/0", and as much of that will apply as possible, at the appropriate place in the ...

Re: Magic the Gathering: Ask a Judge
I had to go double check the rules for Awaken for this. It turns out, Awaken doesn't just put counters on and animate the land, it puts counters on and animates the land as a 0/0 . This is a power/toughness setting effect, so applies in layer 7b. Copy effect apply in layer 1. The island becomes a co...

Checklist cards! This one is from Origins. http://media.wizards.com/2015/origins_askdf9aj2399v/en_m4kFPG3gOx.png They have a normal back, and you mark the front to say what card it is (basically an official proxy, which can only be used with certain cards). When the card is in a public zone (play, g...

If the problem can be paraphrased as "We need targets, we don't have targets", I think it's the wrong approach to think that the second part of that sentence is the part that needs fixing.

1. In the west, legally, women mostly do have the same rights as men, and there exists anti-discrimination laws that work to enforce this. However, there is a huge amount of variation in how this is enforced. It can be difficult to prove, to a legal standard, that one has been discriminated against....

I don't get to watch live a lot, so I rarely get involved with the chat, and don't tend to have it up for VODs (cause I'm usually doing other things while watching anyway), but I can think of 1 or 2 people who, when they're active, tend to bring the mood down. But it's not really anything the mods c...

In the abstract, the question of associating with a group that doesn't have the best reputation is an interesting one. Your options are sort of, do I diminish my good reputation by associating with the group and their bad reputation, or do I elevate the group's bad reputation, by associating it with...
