Re: Trivial

Couple things here: I felt last week was kinda lackluster in the humor department, so it was nice to see you guys (in my opinion) hit your stride again with this one. I was definitely fond of the discussion between Graham and Paul as the execs. Also, I'm guessing holding on Tally and Ben on the couc...

Re: The Arms Race

I lost my shit to the Vanilla Ice bit. I think the strength of that bit was the escalation of it: "haha, Vanillium Ice.", "Hah! Paul rapping.", "BEET?!?!", and then "I lolled forever".

Yes, but it's countered by the fact that in the intro of CoD4, the guy you are looking around as gets knocked out, wakes up, then dies.

Maybe instead of a thumb drive he should have gone with an SD card. Dunno about full size ones, but I put a microSD through the wash by accident and it came out fine.

Re: Redundancy

Thought I'd put in my two cents regarding Ben's laugh. For me, it punctuated the exquisite absurdity of a man failing to produce a presentation in spite of increasingly insane backups, when that presentation was on data redundancy(regardless of the fact that it was on ELIMINATING it). On the other h...

Re: LRRcast for Olympic Man Cooking

Regarding the up = up vs. up = down debate: Imagine the plane you move your mouse in(or the analog stick, if you prefer to play first person games with inferior control), marked with the four cardinal directions. In up = up, the plane is oriented vertically, such that the left and right directions p...

Re: LRRcast for Buttstallation

Yay my questions got answered! I am glad that calling it a "mithril stomach" got a chuckle. To Matt: strangely, I am the same way. I wrote the question around the time of "Watchmen Watching", so the shirt ad inspired it. The creme in yummies sounds...rather unpleasant. Also, the ...

So that he could end it with standing up to his full height and yelling the "too big to fail" line.

considering they're in a renovatin' mood, maybe they can build a staircase up to the pod bay doors!

Then again, nothing they've done so far requires heavy-duty tools like the kind of saws you'd need to cut stringers and treads and whatnot. They might not be available.

Re: commodoreHUSTLE 09 - Growl

One thing that slipped by me on first watching: Paul is significantly stronger than he looks, if he can haul Graham around, suited up, on a hand truck. Particularly so given the angle he holds it at, since he'd be bearing quite a bit of the weight. Carrying whole people around that are covered in ho...

Consider that before iPods, the whole class of devices was "mp3 players". There's really not a neat way to portmanteau that with "broadcast".

I'm from coastal Massachusetts, and yet I did not develop any of the accents native to my region. Pretty much the only local quirk I picked up was the use of "wicked". I speak with what I can only assume to be a nearly neutral accent.
