Re: Ghostbusters 2016
Nah, this is stunt filmmaking of the lowest order. Pass. Best case is a slue of all female remakes? That seems really uncreative and pandering. "We can't think of anything good for you, here leftovers of what's already been done because we know it will work on a title and not your own merit.&qu...

Reading Making Movies by Sidney Lumet. Great director, great book. They should teach this in film school, not that semiology crap.

First saw him in Along Came a Spider. He was 11 or 12 in that movie. It's sad and weird to think that little kid is now dead.

Re: The Game Venting Thread
It's one of the glitchiest games I've ever played, second only to the PS3 port of Shadow of Mordor. Mordor has the "excuse" of being a last-gen port, though. Curiously both games were published by Warner Bros., yet developed by "alternate" studios (Origins was developed by Warne...

Re: The Game Venting Thread
Playing through Batman: Arkham Origins. On top of feeling like Arkham City 1.5, it seems full of glitches. Like that time the first boss would vanish if he touched anywhere near where his cutscene was at. Or how about the time I'm doing a predator mission and an enemy just walks through a wall. And...

Re: Gaming General Chat Thread
Today I began playing Ni no Kuni (I've had the game gathering dust on the shelf for 2 or 3 years now). Level-5 and Studio Ghibli are my kind of dream team, and the game is very much their product. Love it.

The last thing I watched was The People vs. OJ. I haven't watched another series since Mad Men ended (I dropped Gotham sometime during the first season, after Black Mask got introduced).

Re: Captain America: Civil War. Spoilers.
But everything did not go back to normal :? Also a bit confused what you mean by fake stakes. It wasn't about saving the world this time....but that makes it more different to the others, not the same. I don't think we saw the same movie, just because the universe wasn't ending didn't make the stak...

Re: Captain America: Civil War. Spoilers.
I thought it was The Marvel Movie all over. Fun overall, great action, cool side characters (Falcon steals the show), boring villain, fake "stakes", everything goes back to normal by the end.

Re: The Big Relationship Thread
Either he's looking for a wusses way out of this without him having to dump you (possible, but only you can judge that) or he's doing the classic introvert thing of giving into his own internal sense of drama and catharsis, rather than waking up to smell the cordite. In the latter case, you'll both...

Re: The Big Relationship Thread
My advice is that you (anybody) shouldn't date a person who isn't as thrilled about being in a relationship as you are. And he seems pretty wishy-washy about the whole thing.

In the 3 years that I've been around you've done nothing but wax romantically over this one guy who never has any time for you and as far as you know isn't into you (or other men for that matter) the way you're into him. So maybe pull the band-aid and finally let him know how you feel.

Re: Books you're reading now
The Man In The High Castle is a great read, one of PKD's finest. Mistifying ending too. I finished 2 more books, both by Pablo Palacio (1920's writer from Ecuador): a short story collection called A Man Kicked To Death and a short novel called Deborah . The collection is great, the novel not so muc...

Who should I hold responsible for the lack of moderation in a multiplayer game - the publisher (i.e. Sony) or the dev (i.e. Naughty Dog)? Who's supposed to monitor the banning system?
