Re: Cities to run on there own OS
Yeah, this is a great idea, but it's got to be suuuuuper redundantly built for it to be at all viable. Although I assume they know that. Would be super awesome though. Also it could be tied into automatic vehicles! Now that would be a sweet setup. Also, awesome as it is, it probably would require a ...

Ooh, a gift from the wealthy! If only real life worked that way. I'm going to keep my $5001 in liquid. All the stocks are a bit up, save those zeroed out, and I fear they won't remain so. Enough fear at least to leave them all be this week, as I did last week fearing a trap... Also, guys, you realiz...

Yeeeeah, those suing really don't have any grounds, and I hope that's how the case pans out. The geophysicists were even saying that they didn't really know and such a thing couldn't be definitively predicted.

Well. I guess that's that then.
Who ever would have guessed that it's the same guy. Or maybe, it is still some new criminal, who is elaborately framing the old Toe Suck Fairy so as to better get away with his crimes!

I would reiterate a suggestion put up on the first page: definitely needs terrible terrible CGI Rosco. And I figure Gibb ought to be voiced by a really big name actor who totally phones it in.

I don't know what kind of circumstances you may be in, but really as much fun and as interesting as they may be to write, video games and TV series are so incredibly difficult to actually produce that if you want to work on them, you must do so under the assumption you're doing it solely for fun and...

Re: What motivates you?
I have a lot of sources of motivation. One of my biggest sources of motivation is being surrounded by people who are very capable. I always want to try to, if not match and surpass, at least in some small way attempt to keep up with those around me. So, having lots of good friends who are fantastic ...

Re: A question on Robotics for y'all
Yeah, I'd say that chances are the machine wouldn't be capable of dispensing medicine anyway. If they WERE, then the first law would take priority to say 'they have the prescription, they need the medicine, provide the medicine' and that would be the end of it. That's what I'd figure. If you read th...

Not really pulp fiction, just general fiction. People kept seeing the word 'pulp' and deciding that it meant they didn't have the right kind of stories, and never read the description of what we're actually looking and never realized that all their stories would have been fine submissions... But, ye...

Nah, I do tend to be cast as pretty straight villains of assorted varieties. Also, horror games are great.
As far as being a thread of win, expect news about the aforementioned game in a couple weeks, probably. I expect things will go excellently.

I do have a dream journal, although I haven't been writing in it of late (I really must continue). I did dream the other night, I usually don't. There was a bit of minecraft in there (I'm working on a pretty big project) but mostly it was a vague real life alternate version of an event that's coming...

This applies to me on and off. It's something I live by, particularly the chorus: A still more glorious dawn awaits Not a sunrise, but a galaxy rise A morning filled with four hundred billion suns The rising of the milky way. -A Glorious Dawn, Symphony of Science . http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zSg...

Also true! Although years ago I had an imac and the damn thing froze multiple times a day. So, I'm not so sure.
Style though, again, if you want to pay for it, nothing wrong with that. If I wanted a stylish but more expensive computer I'd get an Alienware computer though.

Alright. Time to get in on this market.
Let's take this initial $1000...
$500 on Hats.
$150 on Wigs
Let's keep the other $350 liquid.
If I understand correctly, the stocks on eyewear of both varieties are closed due to having hit 0%?

Yeah, I think people who are willing to pay more for macs are paying more for better customer service (not that you can't find good service with Windows, just not as guaranteed), and for an interface they know and prefer. Which is perfectly reasonable.

What I've generally found: Macs are perfectly reliable, functional, fine computers. They do the same thing as Windows computers, pretty much entirely, with the exception of gaming which is primarily Windows, and certain very powerful professional software, which can go either way case by case. Peopl...
