Dear Cake,
When you return in another guise, how will we know it is you? What signs should we look for?

Apparently she's also the person behind this drawing of "Calvin and Hobbes" which I rather like.

Alja, the shiny metallic look of your first space elevator has me thinking; could we use it to drop fridges on people, there by creating SPACE FRIDGE!?
Also, the correct time happens to have progressed to 10:10

I can't wait for Woody's dramatic readings of his 'Letters from Dagobah'. They are hilariously written, and having Woody read them made them one step better.

Re: The "Post a picture of yourself" thread
Only one person on the forums has ever seen the real me, and she has a picture in this topic. Maybe she wants to describe me for the audience. There IS a picture on my Facebook, but to see that, you would require my TRUE name... He's got longish hair, glasses, and facial hair of some variety. He ma...

I am, however, curious as to what I am like when somewhat inebriated; some day perhaps I will test this out in a controlled environment, with supervision by a trusted compatriot, if only secretly because I hope that, when drunk, I gain psychic powers or the ability to speak fluently in French or be...

What I Do Like About Chrome: -Seems speedy enough. -I do like the themes that you can barely see as a background for the tabs. -I don't quite see how the bookmark system can be 'frustrating'. Works fine for me, which leads me to -Quick and easy load for my bookmarks and such from Safari. Its got al...

I have an interesting perspective on dry campuses. I spent my freshman year at Brigahm Young University , which is the LDS (Mormon) university in Utah. It consistantly is rated the driest campus in the US. I then transferred to Reed College , which is a small liberal arts school, that is decidedly n...

Re: So, anyone try the Google Chrome Apple Beta?
I don't like Chrome. Mostly for the lack of customization and use of a frustrating 'simple' bookmark system. Also I had to work for add-on support, so yeah... that's already in Firefox... The bookmark system really bugged me. It should not be a major ordeal to find out how to organize and change bo...

I only made mine because of Desert Bus, and now never really post on it. I just use it to check on the twitter feeds of the LRR crew and a few other people with funny/interesting twitters. Oh, and Big Ben keeps me on top of the time.

my whole time living in dorms I wanted a fleece blanket, and never got one. Some have mentioned that this thread has been too serious for too long. I aim to start to rectify that. Now, right here, I shall attempt to paraphrase Dr. Crusher for we layfolk. Indeed: How can a large asteroid significantly affect the rotation of much, much larger celestial bodies? Two ways: tida...
