Auberginequeen...that sounds like a lot of what I was going through in college, too, honestly. <3 Except from what you're saying, it sounds like you have even more responsibility and deadlines and things to get done. *offers internet hugs, if Aubergine wants them* I don't know if this is going too c...

Oh, I love that poem! Do you have any more written out around the internet somewhere? I'd love to read it. :) Anyway, computers. This had to have taken place about...five, ten years ago, but that's not any excuse. So, my dad had gotten me a surprise present: apparently they'd been deaccessioning com...

It's an interesting question--and I also have a feeling we might personally differ on the term 'heroic' because we're defining the word heroic differently.

Oh, and as far as soldiers in pop culture go--how about Stargate: SG1? Most of the humans there were from the US Air Force and were awesome.

Re: Soldiers in Games and Pop Culture
You know, nothing against sewer workers, who have about the shittiest job out there--pun intended--but, okay. I've had to clean some awful nasty toilets for work. I've had to deal with septic backups that flood the entire cellar. I don't like it, I wouldn't want to do it full-time, and my sympathies...

Hah, yeah, it kind of looks like it! (Sorry about the swearing last night, but I was just surprised at the resemblance to the crapshots episode and resulting game.) Yup, I guess I do need another time vortex... *eyes the various games, books, projects, and other things scattered across her computer ...

Jsyk, you can also get dead allies restored at any hospital you might find in town. Just talk to the lady at the desk and pay out a set amount of gold, I forget what.
And yeah, my party slept a looooooot to restore hp/mp when I played this XD

I'd be tentatively interested, depending on what time this ends up being. Oddly enough, I'm in the same boat as TStodden, in that Sunday and Monday are my weekend. (Other than that my work schedule varies like crazy.) I'm in EDT/EST (GMT-4/-5). I've never used Google Hangouts before, but I'd certain...

So the wife and I are at our respective computers, on two adjoining sides of 'the den', her watching a stream, and me fiddling through youtube to find something to listen to while I fidget in Minecraft... ...and I hear a rustling; I check over my shoulder, and she's not moving papers or anything. How far did he go along legal lines, BTW? Was it just the senate hearings, or did he make other efforts? Did he promote specific legislation, for instance? Honestly, I have no idea. I have only a passing familiarity with the man, and typed that post while skimreading Wikipedia on the other monitor....

Wow, the posts I just happen to click on my bimonthly peruse of the forum lately. Avistew--I just wanted to say I get you completely on the gender thing. I've often felt like I'm something other than entirely female (probably some form of genderfluid), but that exploring that in depth and figuring o...

I just... I am a very good worker. I will work efficiently, quickly, and hard. I have in the past come up with ways to improve my working process, and I'm certain I can do it again. I am good at what I do. But I have no idea how to market myself. Bluh. I hear ya. If it helps at all, it's not you, i...
