Yeah. Although I think it throws off the log scale, unfortunately.

Re: LRR builds PC's

This is a good idea. I'm hoping to build myself a new PC in the coming months, but I know very little about how to pick the parts one would need. Go for the expensive, well-respected brands for your RAM and power supply. I suggest Corsair for both. For Graphics and CPU, AMD is usually best, althoug...

Re: The General Chat thread

For some reason, the "Go to newest post" button is invisible for me in the new layout. It's still there though; there's a weird gap where it should be, and if I click there, it does that function. But the button itself is invisible.

Re: Gaming General Chat Thread

Just bought Star Trek 25th Anniversary, Spelunky, Ghostbusters: The Video Game, and Penny Arcade: On The Rain-Slick Precipice Of Darkness 3 on Steam. All in all, it cost me £7. I'm very pleased with this, as Ghostbusters is one I'd had my eye out for a few years, but never got around to buying, Star...

Re: The Dream Thread

I had a dream where I was having a meal with Vladamir Putin and Napoleon. In the dream, Putin turned out to actually be a nice guy, but Napoleon was manipulating him to do every bad thing he's ever done. The waiter(Who was my dad, for some reason) offered Putin a glass of water and some cyanide, whi...

Re: Perhaps dumb question, but...

A bunch of DB4 videos were just uploaded to Desert Bus's YouTube channel.

Thought I'd say so in this thread, in case anyone hasn't noticed yet.

Re: What Does Your Username Mean to You?

I came up with this when I was like 8, and I had to create an account for something online for the first time. I never stopped using it. In hindsight, I probably could have come up with a better one. The avatar is from an original animation cel from Animaniacs . I used to use a kind of crappy ...

Re: The Force Awakens.

I loved Rogue One so goddamn much. One piece of CGI a lot of people seem to be complaining about( Tarkin ) looked actually pretty good to me, although I think that's mostly because I saw it in 3D, which makes the screen look darker, so details are a little harder to make out. Having said that, Leia ...

King Kool wrote:But that's what happened with Green Noon and Wraith somehow converted that video for me to use. I'm sure it could have been done.

I guess Graham just couldn't figure out how to in time for the DVD's release.
I do wonder what exactly Revver did to the video files to stop them from being convertible.

Re: Perhaps dumb question, but...

Videos from Desert Bus 1 and 2 can be found on the old uStream account , and there are probably a few on YouTube, but other than that, no video of the first two DBs is known to remain. Some DB3 videos are on this YouTube account , and there are some others on YouTube you can find by searching "...

Re: The LRR wiki is back! Drop that baby and edit it!

But MG and ES would have been on the board enough to see when the crew asked (I assume they did) and given it to them when they made the DVD. IIRC, they were, and they did, but Revver added some strange advertising tags or DRM or something to the videos, which prevented them from converting the foo...

Re: The LRR wiki is back! Drop that baby and edit it!

Okay, I've done it for every video except Limited Return. Since the version of Limited Return on the DVD is sourced from a YouTube upload, which is itself presumably sourced from the Revver file, processed by YouTube, the quality is pretty bad. The screenshot currently in use for the episode appears...

Re: Television We're Watching Now

Update on my Star Trek watching: I've finished both DS9 and Voyager, and am now watching Enterprise. DS9 finalé was a little disappointing. Everything surrounding the Dominion war was very good, most of the farewells were handled pretty well, but the Sisko thing was utter nonsense. Voyager finalé wa...

Yeah, I'm doing them with VLC, which deinterlaces, has the correct image size, etc. If you want examples, take a look at any of the Whatever Thing articles up to and including "Mecha-Jackson"

I can also do this with The Whatever Thing(Replacing the screenshots with ones from the DVD), which is something I was in the process of doing a while ago anyway.

Re: Books you're reading now

After Pratchett died, my brother got a Kindle and stared reading the Discworld series. And on his recommendation, I've started reading The Colour Of Magic on my Kindle. Very much enjoying it; just finished the part in the temple where saying "Eight" brings bad things.
