Re: SpaMEGAdon

In all seriousness: there's been an influx of spam, and surprisingly it seems to be coming from two new places: India, and France. Wonder what caused that shift? Add Russia to your list. But it makes sense when you think about it: Many forums have blacklists and add whole phrases once the trend bec...

Re: WildStar

My brother has access to the beta and basically he said the same thing: Not playable on his laptop. Which is strange since he still plays most releases on "acceptable to high" settings. So his impression: "Maybe in a year, when I have a system that can run it properly", which can...

Re: Diablo 3

I'm definitely going to max all my characters in terms of level and do some fun stuff. But the minute it stops becoming fun and just becomes "Do this level 6 times for a new helm", I'm out. You should not make this kind of comment beforehand. I played Diablo 3 when it was released and max...

Re: LRRDraft #49: The Charge of the Badger

Also, how did you possibly go 3-0 with that? xD More interesting: How did the other players get where they were? Green basically had its base cut out, nonetheless, after the first match both others were against a combination of blue/green. There was at least a decent black and a decent red deck goi...

Re: How to Recognise a Spambot

Speaking of I've see a couple of Kitchen Units Some random UK city threads pop up, is this some weirdly Specific Spam? Apparently, since Edinburgh got their spam three hours later. Another level: since most moderators are from the Americas it is especially effective to post at (in CET in my case) 0...

Re: General LRL Stream Feedback

I liked the whole stream, the "Search for the Jungle" was a bit tedious, but it gave me my personal favorite moment of the stream. I don't mind not seeing the creepers attacking, I think this was the best way to have it. It was never going to be spectacular visually and there was real conf...

Re: General LRL Stream Feedback

I have to say, that entirely depends on the music. Cam had one stream in which he played music that gave me a headache. The last streams where better, but dental drill at low volume is just punishing. Also I wanted to ask: What is better for you, people watching the replay on Twitch or on Youtube? I...

I'm sad to say - yes, this is really us... But anyhow: Greetings from Germany ;-) ... except, we kind of aren't. I would really like to know where you got that story, because to be frank, they screwed up. Just for a start: The verdict happened in July. And had a completely different meaning. And is...

Very sorry. I'm wrong. Myth busted. On further reflection, the only examples I've ever heard of this are second hand (not from actual Germans speaking English): A) The Simpsons, The Computer Wore Menace Shoes" . B) Harry Turtledove's Worldwar series. I wonder how this trope originated, because...

Re: Shibboleth

Maybe it doesn't sound strange to you because you are already this way speaking? I assume the German language is in this manner structured. I can't think of a situation in which a native English speaker would a sentence this way arrange. Saying 'always' is an exaggeration, and I'm exaggerating here...

I really tried to understand what this was supposed to be, but I have no idea. Maybe expand on it and we can work out what is so strange about the way we speak.

I am pretty sure I can top that. Since I live on the other side of the pond, we do things a little different. The finale will be shown today (Tuesday) on a tiny pay-TV channel. It is announced to be aired on Free-TV "later". Nonetheless one of the biggest and world famous news magazine has...

Just for the record:
The cookie seems to have been returned and the company is going to donate 52.000 packets.
Also I just wanted to mention, the money was supposed to be the reward for catching the cookie monster. There must have been a serious discussion at Sesame Street that night.

I actually managed the perfect curve with my Simic deck. Otherwise, I pretty much didn't really get anything good. Dropped 2-3, losing the last three matches straight. Evolve is a nice mechanic if you actually draw creatures with it. My personal favorite is Leyline Phantom, which can screw any oppon...

Yeah I have to admit, I didn't get this story until you came to the rents. I have lived for four years in 16 sqr/m (convert that yourself) and it wasn't that bad. And it was an apartment from student housing, so everything was official. I did only pay 200 Euros per month for that, so I can't really ...

Oh no... that means they'll hit my fiance's house. That means he'll have to get revenge. That means going after them, their relatives, their dogs, the families that adopted the dog's puppies... it's World War 3! Ahhhhh! I wouldn't worry. Unless either you or your fiance have a regiment of highly tr...
