Re: LRR Minecraft Server
I'm hoping to use some glowstone lamps and comparators as part of a storage space display system in my base, so to do that I will need to acquire some glowstone and quartz. I'm not sure what the server rules are with regards to mining that sort of stuff since it might be quite scarce. Is it possible...

Re: Height of LRR/Desert Bus Members (All of them)
You might be able to look through the old Desert Bus stream archive and use the fixed camera angle to create a good frame of reference, comparing the heights of people you already know to people standing next to them.
Maybe. Maybe not.

Re: Magic the Gathering: Ask a Judge
I'm posting this without full consultation of the rules, but here's what I can remember off the top of my head: The full Scry action happens instantly as far as the game is concerned. This means you only show the top card before you start and after you finish. I'll try to find the rules to back this...

Re: Venting Thread Delta - Now With Easy to Follow Rules
Why are the roads in Spain so confusing? Our 20 minute journey was more than doubled because of multiple wrong turns and surprise splits. Very annoying. Although did spend long enough in the car to find out they don't bother censoring the excessive swearing at the end of Killing In The Name; I found...

Re: LRR Minecraft Server
I guess it's possible that the performance increases in 1.8 will also make it easier to run the shader mods too (once they get updated, of course)

If I see that "Sky Broadband Connection Lost" error message one more time... actually wait, I won't say anything rash because I'll probably see it again in 5 minutes. I went with Sky because they were cheap, I guess you do get what you pay for. It's just irritating because it normally work...

Re: LRR Minecraft Server
True, but most of the new stuff won't naturally generate in new chunks. Things like the slime blocks are made from existing materials. For shaders, I personally use a setting called Chocapix, I think that's it, it doesn't change too much, but the shadows and water reflections make it all look so pre...

Re: LRR Minecraft Server
How many new materials are there? All I can think of are the 2 new stone types and the underwater temple stuff. I wouldn't think a whole new server is worth it just for those.

Re: LRR Minecraft Server
I think the weather control villager died again... What happened to him? I was in the area on Monday and he seemed ok when I left. Also, the area around -830, -250 is where I've set up so far. I may soon take over the nearby lake (-870, -210) if that is ok. Though, is a full server restart in 1.8 a...

Re: LRR Minecraft Server
We're only speculating about future prevention measures, TNT was apparently not responsible for this attack. Actually, come to think of it, just clearing every player's inventory of TNT every 5 seconds or so is probably just as effective and much less server intensive than constantly checking for th...

Re: LRR Minecraft Server
I looked it up, turns out it is a feature in 1.8 after all. I got the idea from one of Sethbling's videos (Link) , which I guess was using a snapshot since the @e selector doesn't work in 1.7.X. Essentially it's a clock that replaces primed TNT with creepers that instantly explode, but it could just...

Re: LRR Minecraft Server
I know it's possible to build a clock hooked up to some command blocks that scan certain areas for primed TNT entities and remove or replace them.
But I have no idea how much server load that would cause.

Re: LRR Minecraft Server
The LRRCraft.com site says I need to ask a mod for permission to build. Does that mean the server is in a kind of spectator mode until permission is granted?
If so, can I request permission for 'SilPho' now or do I have to sign in first?

Right. Abilities that start with "When" or "At the start of..." are all triggered abilities.

Re: Magic the Gathering: Ask a Judge
Exactly. Whether the equipment has the ability itself or grants it to the creature can be very important. Consider Armadillo Cloak compared to something like Mark of the Vampire; a stolen creature will grant life to a different player depending on which Aura you use.

Re: Magic the Gathering: Ask a Judge
Nothing special really. Abilities that prevent creatures from attacking only prevent them from being declared as attackers. It won't stop creatures that already happen to be attacking from doing so.
