Re: Did that really come out that long ago
I did data entry during the summer for a school database. I was inputting data for children born in 2004. That shouldn't be possible. Two weeks ago, I was at my comic book store playing in a 4 person game, and I mentioned how it was still weird to me to think that I started high school in 1999, One...

I wonder how much it would cost me to get Molly Lewis to write a song about Norton I, by the grace of God, Emperor of these United States and Protector of Mexico.

I'm now insanely jealous.
I mean, I guess I can wait a few more months given that I've been waiting for 10 years, but still: I want this game in my life.

Re: Magic the Gathering: Ask a Judge
In case anyone was wondering, I've written a guide to banding but I'm just running it past some other judges to make sure my understanding is solid. It seems that Banding might actually be... good, in some cases, so I want to be sure. It was good in some cases but never often enough to justify itse...

Re: Magic the Gathering: Ask a Judge
Writing all this out is forcing me to remember how much banding sucks. I'll never forgive you for this. Presumably that's why it didn't come up in later editions? I imagine so. Banding went away right around the same time as the first time I quit playing, and at the time I remember pretty clearly t...

Re: Forgettable FPS's...
There really wasn't much TO forget in Borderlands. The whole game was "Go kill this one guy and his 850,000 identical twins." It somehow had less characterization than a typical Dynasty Warriors game, and I didn't even think that was possible. I also forgot the individual plot points of Ho...

Re: Magic the Gathering: Ask a Judge
Hmm. I'm assuming that banding only counts in combat, they creatures aren't bound together by the banding permanently. Is that correct? Out of curiosity, does the band count as being one creature when being targeted by spell? If a creature being blocked by a band of mixed colours (say a pair of whi...

Re: Magic the Gathering: Ask a Judge
I hate to be a dick with a stupid over complicated question(again this like the other one Im genuinely interested in understadning these) Banding? In essence, a band of creatures functions in combat like one larger creature. So a 2/2 with banding in a band with a 1/1 will function as a single 3/3 c...

Re: Magic the Gathering: Ask a Judge
In cases like that, I believe the creature's BASE stats are set by those things, in your example by the number of creatures in the graveyard, and then additional modifiers act as normal. So a Boneyard Wurm in that scenario that was hit with a disfigure would be a 3/3 until end of turn. However, if i...

Re: The Sex Thread
So here's a somewhat odd question:
How does a guy go about making himself less attractive to high school girls?
Because while my romantic life was a comic failure when I was in high school, apparently I'm now the hottest thing they've ever seen.
I'm 26 now, and I'm far too pretty for prison.

Re: Magic the Gathering: Ask a Judge
Ooooh, follow up question:
My opponent plays a Werewolf. It transforms.
I clone it. Does my clone enter play as the already transformed version? And am I correct in assuming that the transform rules apply as normal to my clone?

So a Garruk, Primal Hunter and a Jace Mindsculpter are fine, but a Garruk, Primal Hunter and Garruk Wildspeaker is not. That's what I was figuring.
Any answer to my Clone question, or did I just miss it?

Ok, I wasn't playing Magic at the time Planeswalkers were introduced, so I'm still trying to figure out the rules for them. Can a player have more than one planeswalker in play at the same time? Also: If I play one of the umpteen variations on Clone, and the creature I'm cloning has a "come int...

Hey, I'd like to know if there's any way we could get an MP3 of this? It'd be sweet to make a CD of LRR songs, and I could probably download the videos that weren't on the escapist and just rip the songs from the files, but I'd run into a bit of trouble on the escapist ones... A link to the MP3 was...

It just seemed like they were two of the old staples of MTG. lightning bolt had only come back into print in m10 from 4th edtion(1995) so its not really a staple That kind of blew my mind. I used to PROXY on lightning bolts. And then there were no more lightning bolts for eleventy billion years.
