I run Ubuntu when I'm not in Windows. I update it regularly.

I'm still going to image my HDD and install Windows 7.

I've also got a couple of betas I need to start running through the scripts on for Symantec.

only thing is, the steering doesn't correct back to the "slightly right" alignment. Some road noise, bumps, and an overlay of the inside of a bus would also make it truer to the original.

I just shaved my beard off (unrelated to desert bus -- it was beginning to be a glorious neckbeard). I don't perform any differently at work than I did before, and people still recognize me. Why would anyone care whether or not I grew it back.

Back on topic: The Blip.TV ads are screwing around for me. They pop up about once every 2 minutes, rather than just at the begining, and the x button doesn't work for the "Role Models" advert. There was a movie advert on a couple of older CHes that I was watching last night that popped ba...

At least I don't gripe halfway. My issue with the current administration (only 2 weeks left!) is their "with us or against us" mentality. The paranoia they've engendered in the government means that people transporting oil condensate (a pretty benign HazMat) need to obtain FBI and DHS clea...

Avoid the US. We accidentally an Act which disregards freedoms of speech, assembly, fair trial, habeas corpus, and privacy.

A socialist isn't too bad, coming out of a totalitarian regime.

I dunno, I've never gotten anything better than 480*360 resolution out of a webcam, and have never seen one that doesn't add odd artifacts (like dead spots, even though the shot is completely black or completely white). I buy cheap equipment. It worked for what I needed it for. Movie Maker is better...

I prefer to see movies sight-unseen. I don't read movie blogs, or reviews. I don't watch TV, and I don't receive a newspaper. I rarely show up for films in time to see the pre-screening trailers. The way I see movies is pretty much on the strength of the title, and poster with a "now playing&qu...

That, while true, is only a recent development. At the announcement of the Elite model, Microsoft indicated that the Elite would be the only model to have HDMI added.

I've long considered the playstation controller to be perfection in game controller design (next to WASD and a mouse). It just fits my hands perfectly, and comfortably. The SixAxis uses the exact same mold, with a few more notches added for technical features (more LEDs, charging port). The old Xbox...
