Re: Gaming General Chat Thread

I got Last of Us. Someone recommended it to me. I beat it half an hour ago. I see why it got its acclaim but my fuck that ending. The fuck.

It's not bad. I just do not agree with the actions taken at all.

Ambiguous enough to spoil nothing.

Re: The General Chat thread

It was a 67 year old man who came in with it. And I was astounded. I was legitimately amazed and was trying to find the NICEST way to tell him "Your laptop belongs in a museum." But my God did he fight tooth and nail to try and sell it off. Nearly bought it from him myself for £5 just to s...

Re: The General Chat thread

I could make a joke here about Scotsmen and freedom, but I get the feeling that Darkobra will reach through the Internet and beat the hell out of me. The night's young and I had to tell a guy that his laptop is beyond repair and there was no way I was buying it because I might actually catch it. &q...

Re: Gaming General Chat Thread

I played FF5 to the point I had Super Bares. Every single job maxed and your Bare took the benefits from every single job.

I didn't know about the end changing depending on who lived or died!

Got the job! Will probably get the second one too and have two part time jobs and full training from both.

See you on Skype or Steam or whatever else I got you on! I am going to be busy!

Re: Venting Thread Delta - Now With Easy to Follow Rules

If you're saying "They said this and they said that to get votes and to scaremonger", you're damn right I'm going to ask for sources. Because if I can't find sources, it didn't happen. No matter what side you speak for. Their views ARE uneducated because they're throwing the wrong statemen...

Re: Venting Thread Delta - Now With Easy to Follow Rules

There was a German guy who moved here recently who knows little about anything but still gets a vote. Everything he used in his reasoning was completely wrong. "I heard this and that's happening!" "Yeah, that's Cameron. Not us."

Not long to go!

Re: Venting Thread Delta - Now With Easy to Follow Rules

Beyond anger. Just clarity. Someone in my life finds a way to take all my joy from me. I can never be happy with them in my life.

The only way I can continue forward is to cut the dead weight out of my life.

Re: Advice Thread

The problem with job 2 is it was a friend who got me in. So me up and leaving might reflect badly on him. But fact is, I can make a career out of job 1 rather than be stuck doing the same thing in job 2.

I suppose I should just do what's better for me and they'll get over it.

Re: The Big Relationship Thread

It's still selfish. Now you've selfishly put that person in an awkward situation where they feel bad to plainly tell you they're not interested. Now they feel guilty because you selfishly had to confess. They'll feel awkward around you and not be able to feel comfortable as they'll feel you'll be tr...

Re: The Big Relationship Thread

It's still incredibly disrespectful to move in on someone who's in a relationship. It's saying to that person "You make bad choices in partners, I am so selfish I am trying to split you up because I want you and at the end of the month I might not even be with you." It's unattractive and o...

Job interview today. They loved me. They want me back for a second interview later in the week. I have a work trial tomorrow at another place. If I get it, I may end up with that job. Now job 1 is my priority choice. Job 2 is a safety net. Neither job is a guarantee. Job 1 will let me know later in ...

RIP Richard Attenborough

Lord Richard Attenborough, the actor and film director, has died just days before his 91st birthday. After forging a career as an actor in films including Brighton Rock and The Great Escape, he became an acclaimed film director, winning two Academy awards for Gandhi in 1982. The film went on to win ...

Re: Venting Thread Delta - Now With Easy to Follow Rules

There was an appeal in Russia to remove a "pornographic bank note." The note in question? A semi-naked Greek God! "Roman Khudyakov had argued that catching a glimpse of Apollo’s naked loins on the 100-rouble note could be damaging to children and the notes should therefore be taken o...

So now that I've seen a few more articles about this, specifically the Kotaku response, I am perhaps more confused than before about what happened. So, a Game Dev's ex made a post with claims that the Game Dev cheated on him by offering to exchange sexual favours with a Games Journalist for favoura...

Tonight is a Lethal Weapon, whiskey and friends night. Maybe even Street Fighter and I might even have a sparring match or two!

Because every man needs a man's night out once in a while.
