Re: The thread of win

I love being in a job where I get to fix technology and get bonuses. Finally my talents being put to use.

My good talents. Not the one that can stop a guy breathing for a few minutes.

So I got told I have a GREAT singing voice. The kind that can sing Elvis songs easily. I was singing Lonely This Christmas. The compliment felt great until I remembered. I had a lecturer. Guitarist and singer. Fantastic legend of a man. Humble, kind, gentle and told you what you needed to hear in a ...

Re: What type of Christmas will you have?

Christmas is one of two things. A religious holiday and celebration or a massive retail paradise. I take part in neither. No Christmas dinners. No Christmas presents. I'm not religious. So I don't celebrate the religious holiday. If others are and want to, that's fine! Go ahead! Just please don't tr...

Re: The thread of win

Got my GTX 970. Upgraded from a 560 TI. Now, the 560 TI is a SOLID card. I'd still recommend it to any of you. But mine was at the end of its lifespan so it was time for an upgrade. This 970? My God. I had to get a new monitor and cable since my old ones are also dying out but from what I can see of...

Re: Gaming General Chat Thread

Not sure we got a tech support deal here so here it is. Got my GTX 970. It's fantastic. But when I use Steam Overlay, you see faint scanlines. I also see them with Final Fantasy 14. Possible theories are: My very, very old cable. My monitor. My PSU. (Which is 600W, my card says it requires 500, but ...

Re: Venting Thread Delta - Now With Easy to Follow Rules

Emotional blackmail to get me to screw myself over to help you doesn't work. You know it doesn't. All it does is make me rewind the video I was watching to hear what I missed while you had a pissy-fit.

You want something from me? Give me something. I don't work for free.

(or I'm thinking it's more complicated than it is). Always the case. Things are simple. You ask her, she says yes, great! You ask her, she says no, move on! People tend to focus so much on one person that they can't see the one person who'd be perfect for them right in front of their eyes. There's ...

Very specific times. And the longer you wait, the worse it can potentially be.

Think with your heart and not with your head. It's all about how comfortable you feel. You can't really plan it.

Re: The General Chat thread

You'll miss it when it is.

I think the problem is when you study what you love, you got a set time to do it. "Do it by Tuesday. Do it now. Do that on top of it." But when you choose to do it in your own time? It's amazing. And you do miss it. And sometimes you keep at it.

Re: The Big Relationship Thread

Love is something that can give you great joy and great pain. There's never an "or." It's always both. Now you have to decide do you want to take the happiness with it or do you want to be numb the rest of your days?

Right. Any point in Display Port? My GTX 970 comes with it and apparently DP is better than HDMI. But I also heard it only really matters for 4k gaming. 4k's barely a theory right now so I'm not going to dive at it just yet.

Well, I asked if he wanted to grab lunch together and he said he didn't want to spend the money. True about the mods. I still play Oblivion. And yes sometimes I do play Skyrim. It has a lot of good and a lot of bad. You just gotta take the two together at times.

Dear friend: When will I stop pitying myself, stop allowing myself to be powerless, start trying to change the things I dislike in my life? Probably never. I am sorry to have to disappoint you in that regard. I have aspired to strength but I'm weak, wholly, in the truest sense of the word. Sorry. S...

Skyrim generally runs well enough even on hardware that's a couple of years old. Yes, the engine is garbage but that just means it'll randomly screw up and maybe run badly, not a real test of hardware. My Skyrim is heavily modded and runs flawlessly. I have maintained my computer to the level it ca...

The game would have to be phenomenal or a sequel to a game I loved for me to buy it at launch. I really wanted Destiny. Will not buy it until it comes to PC.

Seriously. Analogue sticks for a shooter. Nope.
