Re: How are you feeling... in song

This song, "Bravest Face" by Rush, is not the most reassuring one in the world, but as of late, it's been helping me get up in the morning. Though we might have precious little It's still precious I like that song about this wonderful world It's got a sunny point of view And sometimes I fe...

Re: Describe your last tabletop session

So after a long, long, loooooooong Vampire: The Requiem campaign finally came to an end, my small group is embarking on a fascinating new adventure: One-Shot Roulette! Every session I'm going to be taking my group through a radically different one-shot using the Savage Worlds or World of Darkness sy...

Re: The Hijack Thread aka Elomin's Bag

Hey guys, me and the wife are headed out for an evening on the town, but I could use some help with romance. Anybody got a lead on where I can get ten satchel bombs, a sports car to stick them all to, a sniper rifle to pick off the survivors, and a spunky Chablis?

Don't call it a comb-back, I'll have hair for years. Hey everybody. It's been a while, hasn't it? Since we last spoke I've changed my major twice, moved house, developed mild-to-moderate agoraphobia, got myself addicted two, count 'em, two different MMOs, and had the only person I even remotely like...

Re: New Quest Available!

It started twelve years ago, and shows no signs of stopping. Oh sure, there were summits in Malta and Vancouver and Vostok Station, but those were the essence of the "foregone conclusion." My St. Geiger's counter clicked merrily on my wrist as I settled against the windowsill. The bombed o...

Re: World of Darkness Gameplay Thread

Okay, so the Initiative is as follows: Heidi Ghost Man Webhead Nate (Mark, starting next round) (Big Nate, starting next round) Heidi, you've got the first go. Ghost-Man whirls at the sound of gunfire, a snarl curling his lip as he turns to face you. You hear the bell above you toll a few times. You...

Re: Books you're reading now

Fahrenheit 451 is classic, and has a lot to say on the subject of censorship, paranoia, and loss. Having shed fat, massive tracts of it don't make any sense on the first read. Or the third. Most of my recreational reading is comics these days. There's some great stuff going on in the indie comics sc...

Re: Television We're Watching Now

So, House of Cards. It has more or less entirely abandoned its original premise to become a West Wing knockoff running on Kevin Spacey's charisma alone. Fortunately, Spacey's charisma holds up for the time being. Also, I don't get why Frank Underwood is portrayed as this conniving mastermind. All he...

Wow, thanks! I didn't expect anyone to go through that much effort. :) The Sager laptops do look really cool. My own research certainly can't turn up the same bang-for-buck even without considering the summer special.
