Re: Doppleganger Mafia: Play. D3 (impossible!)

If there were to be a protective role in the game, it is likely that they would be able to continuously protect the same person, but unable to protect either doctor they know about.

Also, all of this would be made perfectly clear to them.

Tally, as a reminder since others are updating it:

Master Gunner: 2 (JesterJ., Smidge)
Smidge: 1 (iamafish)

A vote tally:

Smidge: 1 (iamafish)

Oh, and I should note that you should not assume that any particular role is not present, either. And metagaming is very much allowed, even encouraged.

Re: Buttstallation

Brilliant, guys. And now, to all the philosophers: If I can perceive it, it exists. It does not matter whether my perceptions are flawed or not, if I can perceive and/or interact with it, then it exists in some form, whether within my mind or outside my mind. For I know that I think, and that though...

Breaking news: Hakaryu, the mafia previously run out of town, was found to have been mauled by a bear.

This means absolutely nothing.

Re: Casual gaming versue gaming casually- is there a difference?

I agree wholly and entirely with Matt here... I am a hardcore gamer who really loves casual games... although I just got myself a WoW account... and promptly plunked Bejeweled and Peggle into the addons folder... elipses.

Re: Doppleganger Mafia: Play. D2 (Finally, we flip a coin!)

Xolani was lynched! You (██████████) are the tracker. You have the power of following. Each night, each of you may submit a player name. You will be told where this person went that night (the house of whomever they may have targeted with an action). You have no group. You win when all the mafia are...

Hey guys, guess what? IT IS DAY. You wake up and look outside... Gasp! Shock! Horror! CanCarter has been murdered! You (SOME GUYS) are a vanilla townie. You have no power. You have no group. You win when all the mafia are eliminated. This makes you a "townie" (obviously). Even worse... wai...

Re: Casual gaming versue gaming casually- is there a difference?

I must say I understand the difference to be completely opposite of what the OP says: Casual gaming is a genre, gaming casually encompasses both halves of what the OP was saying. You are a casual gamer (or perhaps a casual hardcore gamer depending on your preferred "genre"). A casual gamer...

Two people still owe me PMs, and if I don't get them by a week from the start of night (by June 17th), they don't get an action.

Not that that's a bad thing, of course. Infinite buttons means not having to press control-alt-meta-hyper-super-cokebottle just to attack an enemy. And each one is custom-made for the situation, too!

It was actually pretty fun: you were in a maze and there was stu...

Re: Why I don't play my Wii

Except, no, it's not significant at all. There is a very good reason for the anomaly, which I have already explained. The type of people who play Xbox games are the type of people who buy and play through games with very little replay value. They go through these games quickly, even more so since th...

Re: XBOX 360 Project Natal?

What I think would be awesome is if they made a motion-sensing game that the wheelchair-bound could play fairly well. Say, for instance, a game about a mage? And, in any case, I don't think standard controls will ever be fully phased-out. Just like no genre is ever truly gone. As for the non-specifi...

Re: Why I don't play my Wii

It probably is true that 360 games sell more in total, since third-party developers seem to have an irrational hatred of Nintendo, which obviously makes there be less games available (especially since Nintendo's going 50-50 on non-games made for Japan/really old people and actual games). Also, 360 g...
