Re: LRRcast - The Kathleen Trivia Challenge Part 3

I feel that Kathleen and I get our current events from different places. I strongly disagree with Kathleen's definition of Alaska also being the eastern most state in the United States. Maine is the eastern most state. If you include the United State's territories, the westernmost point in the Unit...

Re: Finale! (SPOILERS ASSUREDLY WITHIN)

I will echo the props to Loadingreadyrun for the production. It looked very well done! There were a few things which took away from the 'professionalism' a bit (eg: I'm sorry Graham, but while amusing your interview with GameCrafter did come off as less than professional for you, which might have be...

Re: LRRcast Guilty Pleasures Part 1

Okay, I have a few: Food: I LOVE the Pilsbury Microwave pizzas. Like, legit, I would go a week eating them if I have the option. They are so bad, but like Cam describing KFC, they are SO good. Music: I am almost ashamed to admit it, but I actually enjoy Nickleback. I make fun of them, I rightfully p...

Is it just me, or are Luke and Sherri always playing 'as a team' while the others aren't . . . Doesn't affect the show, but I have noticed it.

Re: One Liter of Absinthe

I really think that either this game or possibly the "Shut Up and Give Me Money!" is going to win (possibly the Sibling's Trouble is on the short list, but it seems less substantial). Hell, this game is 100% in the wheelhouse for Cards Against Humanity as it is literally the more character...

Re: A Swiftly Tilting Cameron

It looks like it, but I've seen very polarized reviews of it so I'd like to see someone like Cam do a run through it. Even if it's bad, Cam is entertaining!

Re: Charm City Blues Judging

I am kind of glad that the Judges are being more harsh on these games than it seemed the playtesters did. Because of the different format in the previous season there wasn't a strong "this game is very developed" feeling beyond the judges saying so (ie: thing we can judge for ourselves). T...

Re: A Swiftly Tilting Cameron

Any chance of a playthrough of Sid Meier's Starships? I've heard very divergent reviews (either it is very good, or utter crap) and would be interested in seeing Cam's take on it.

Also, I respect your statements as far as omelettes go Cam and Kathleen, but I hope you realize that there are millions of French people who will look at you shocked :P In a proper French Omelette, you NEVER flip it. Not a single time. All you do is--as Cam stated--violently beat your eggs until smo...

Re: LRRcast - FoodCast

For reference: Dashi is made by effectively steeping (like tea) Kombu seaweed (a type of Kelp) and Bonito (which is dried, cured tuna, shaved into very fine flakes). What you do is take a few generous leaves/bits of Kombu (about 2-3 cups if shredded) in 4 cups of water, then bring it just BELOW a bo...

Re: Windy Berry Bum Licker

I will also agree that I was doing a headtilt when hearing about some of these games. Even last season it seemed that the games were, if not more developed, at least saw more testing before they made it to the competition. It may just be the format of the show, but so far none of the games have real...

Languages in 5ed D&D

Is there a mechanic in which to learn additional languages in 5ed rules beyond what you are racially given (or via backgrounds)? I haven't found one, and I'm working on a project in which linguistics are necessary.

I agree 100% on the "set achievable goals, and work incrimentally" approach. I even did what Beej did when I was in high school, giving up potato chips (and it helped my health massively).

Re: General LRL Stream Feedback

I have tried accessing 3 different Twitch recordings today, and all of them crap out after only a few seconds (ie: 10 for Mario Kart, 4 for the finale, 7 for one of Cam's BE streams). It might be my computer, though, as I've been having some issues with some sites today (for some reason).

This is probably more of a site bug (not sure where to put it). I have noticed recently, mostly on LRRcasts but now on the most recent checkpoint of the video simply shutting down right in the middle of the video. It doesn't reload and start again, but goes back to the start with the arrow "ple...
