Re: TEN YEARS OF LRR!

I wish I could have come up with something for the book, but it didn't work out. It looks lovely, though. I've only been a fan since Desert Bus 5, but already LRR has become like a favorite TV show. It certainly helps that the crew is made up of genuinely nice people. Congratulations on 10 years, an...

Re: LRRcast 2013-10-12

Even though I don't read comics, the bit at the end about silver age Jesus or the infinite timeline Jesus had me laughing uncontrollably. Me too. I think I'd like to see Jesus fight alongside the Justice League, though it'd be a very short fight. I'm seriously going to ask my pastor about Jesus and...

Re: The Loading Ready Run Kickstarter

I finally threw my small pledge into the ring. Much less than I wanted to, but the life of a temp is unpredictable, especially one who spent the entire length of this Kickstarter recovering from wisdom teeth surgery instead of working. I did want to be able to support LRR somehow, though.

Wolfwood723, if you're interested, try cooking some bacon and crumble it into those cheesy mashed potatoes. Delicious.

Congratulations to LRR on getting their Kickstarter funded! Glory to LRRstotzka!

Re: 16 Skulls and a Burning Building

It references a scene in "The OC," where the song plays over a melodramatic shooting. It was then taken to the nth degree in a Saturday Night Live short where a bunch of people shoot each other, which leads to the music clip being played over and over and over. http://knowyourmeme.com/meme...

Re: 16 Skulls and a Burning Building

/rant As someone who studied architecture in college (but has done nothing else with it since), that architect is retarded. I read an article that in the original design there were external sun shades to reduce the sun hitting the glass (and thus would solve this problem as well) but they were take...

Don't forget Jonny, or perhaps Kane and Crowthorne, if they managed it so as not to kill Alex and Kathleen's voices.

For more Curtis/Takahata, have some highlights of his appearance at Desert Bus 6: Taka does his Alucard and Napp impression, and sings some songs, Taka and his SPECIAL EYES! Taka sings some more songs, everybody is dapper. And to that, may I add Takahata playing "Who is the Kitty" as Napp...

First, why must you terrify us with these horrifying pictures?

Second, was that pink thing the blob fish, or some sort of real-life pokemon? I'm not particularly inclined to go back to study the image.

Re: The Loading Ready Run Kickstarter

I'm definitely disappointed about the impending end of weekly LRR sketches, but as long as I can still get the LRR crew weekly via Feed Dump and Checkpoint, I'll be happy. I might not be able to back this as long as my financial situation remains the same, but I'll definitely be keeping an eye on th...

Sounds like The Old Spaghetti Factory. I've been to one of those, and I actually like the decor - it's like quirky Victorian with the quirky factor turned up to 11.

Re: Spaghetti Warehouse Warehouse

The Virgin Islands (British and U.S.) were named after those 11,000 virgins as well. The name is taken from the story of St. Ursula and her 11,000 virgin followers. Either they were both discovered on St. Ursula's feast day or it's a good name for a Catholic explorer to give an archipelago. (I'd say...

Wait, it's in Santa Clara? I've been to Great America (admittedly in middle school). How did I not realize it was in Santa Clara? ...How the hell do you fit a theme park in Santa Clara? I keep forgetting that you and I are from the same corner of the world, Fayili. Great America's been around since...

To completely change the subject, I know the theme park that the Gold Striker rollercoaster is at (California's Great America in Santa Clara, CA). This place isn't like Disneyland where it's just surrounded by hotels. It's actually in the heart of Silicon Valley - there are high-rise office building...

Re: Man of Steal

On the LRR Twitter, you mentioned misunderstanding the update schedule. It's always been 9 Pacific/12 Eastern (at least as long as I've been watching). Was there a change?

As for the video, it was absolutely hilarious. I love Cam's effortless delivery, and Beej was wonderful.

I helped a friend out with a student video in college. I'm the girl with the straight dark hair in a ponytail. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_T95anfR9KY I also produced a video advent calendar podcast a couple of years ago that focused on activities that you could do to count the days until Christm...

These moments are even funnier on an endless loop (e.g., Kathleen's street dancing, Cam's earnest tip of the hat, and Graham limply flopping onto a stopped car). Thanks, AlexanderDitto.

Re: Threats, Murders and KFC

It was kind of cool to mix it up, and I like the idea of getting Strip Search artists to do Feed Dump, but since I never really thought Erika or Amy were all that funny, the episode fell kind of flat for me. Also, have you decided to abandon the "news" rhymes altogether? I miss the verbal ...

Speaking as a hardcore Eurovision fan (by American standards, at least, which are seriously low), Eurovision does indeed broadcast online. This year's final can be found here (you do need to download a plugin to see it). This year was pretty tame, but there were some pretty ridiculous moments.

Desert Bus 5. A bunch of tweets about it were filling up my Twitter feed, so I decided to give it a shot. That led to the LRR site and videos, and I've never looked back.
