Cuz, you know, Double-Oh-Seven...

Re: Gaming General Chat Thread
So I just bought a bundle containing Dragon Age Origins and Dragon Age II. Having never played those games (except the demo for DA2), how similar are these to Mass Effect, gameplay-wise?

Probably not the weirdest Mario crossover of that generation, but definitely a confusing one.
And since I can't think of any Mario games to post, here is this.

I'm pretty sure this isn't a new thing for GameStop. I coulda sworn I saw them selling DLC as early as 2010.

Not really. It just sounds like you prefer strategy over immediate gratification. No harm in that.
I, however, am not one of those people. Mostly because I cannot think more than 2 steps ahead.

Also, as I said, the gun differences in single player are almost insignificant, since every weapon will kill your enemies. The guns in most FPS games are not loot drops; you aren't given bad weapons. My statement about multiplayer stats for the guns still applies, as well. What Met was saying was mo...

Re: Gaming General Chat Thread
The thing of FPS games is that the gun effectiveness usually doesn't matter (I'm talking games like Call of Duty, not like Borderlands or Deus Ex). The only time that does matter is in multiplayer, and it does actually tell you gun stats there.

It may ruin your immersion, but I don't think most people want data thrown at them constantly, because, more often than not, that takes people out of the moment. From your examples of Fable 3 and the 1430HP thing, it sounds like you come from a more RPG background (sorry if I'm wrong), so HP, mana, ...

Thanks for the info. I'm a tech specialist so I've got a few points in Sabotage. Given that, are there any skills I should focus on? I've got the silent step skill, awareness, and whatever overclock does. As for the mini game hacking, I really dislike the text one (Don't remember what it's for) cuz ...

In all honesty, I got lucky. I've never played the game, and I barely know anything about it, but, for some reason, I couldn't forget that face. If you had posted anything else from that game, I probably wouldn't have gotten it. I thought it was Soul Calibur at first. Anyways, here's a picture. http...

Didn't want to rez the Alpha Protocol thread, so I'll rez this one instead. I'm confused about how alarms work in this game. Do they go away eventually, or do I HAVE to disable them? Also, is EVERY guard on alert or just the ones nearby? Also, also, how easy is it to set off an alarm? I've set off a...

Guess I'll repost my method in case it has changed a bit: 1) If necessary, convert video file to a .mov file. 2) Open file in Adobe ImageReady, select section of video and choose frame skip amount. 3) Resize and crop image. Set frame length. 4) Add text if desired. 5) Save optimized file. However, I...

So I looked it up. She may not have a long form, it's just "Ayesha Altugle". Return to form I guess (it looked like some of the older ateliers didn't have nicknames).

Woah, they named her Ayesha? Given that that's an actual name, I can't even imagine what the long form is.
