Re: The General Magic: The Gathering Thread

The LGS I was at said it will be D-G-R, which is normal, latest expansion first, then first expansion last. Just like two years ago when you drafted the New Phyrexia, followed by Mirrodin Besieged, and ended with Scars of Mirrodin. Or with Innistrad block you did Dark Ascension then two Innistrad S...

Re: The General Magic: The Gathering Thread

I wonder if the backwards draft format will change that (D->G->R instead of the release order of R->G->D).

Re: The General Magic: The Gathering Thread

Does anyone know what the payout would be for DGR drafting on MTGO? When you draft Gatecrash, you got packs of gatecrash. What would you get for drafting all 3?

Re: Limited Resources Set Review Ratings - Dragon's Maze

I'm procrastinating doing something else, so I sorted the list provided by Archie0 by rank. I took the lower rank for the disputed ones. A Advent of the Wurm Ral Zarek Putrefy A- Master of Cruelties Voice of Resurgence Aetherling Exava, Rakdos Blood Witch Progenitor Mimic Blood Baron of Vizkopa B+ T...

Re: Magic the Gathering: Ask a Judge

Giving something +1/+1 is not the same as giving it a +1/+1 counter.

So, no, there are no counters on your guy to move (Unless there are. But Rubblehulk didn't put them there.)

Re: Magic the Gathering: Ask a Judge

No, I'm fairly confident you were right about the stack order the first time.

I'm far less sure about the other part though. I'm going to have to do some more reading...

Re: Magic the Gathering: Ask a Judge

Interaction of continuous effects is one of the more... interesting parts of Magic rules. In this case, the parts we want are: Layer 7b: Effects that set power and/or toughness to a specific number Layer 7c: Effects that modify power and/or toughness (but don't set power and/or toughness to a speci...

Re: Dragon's Maze Prerelease Discussion

So I wake up on Friday morning at 5am, as I normally do, go to work, and come home. My housemate had said, the day before, he was going to the midnight release on Friday night, but I hadn't played in 6 years (I believe I went to the Lorwyn prerelease?), so I had said I wasn't that interested. Except...
