Re: Magic the Gathering: Ask a Judge
Well, the wording on cipher specifically states that you're casting a copy of the spell, whereas Reverberate just copies the spell without saying anything about the copy being cast. That could be the reason, though I'm not sure.

Re: GPLP: Cursed Crusade
Oh yeah, Mocha Lente there was a servant of God. Like... actually. When you first encountered him, one of the main characters remarked that he wasn't cursed like most of the important people claiming to serve God, he was actually holy or something. So... I guess that's why Mount Ferret was able to s...

Re: Magic: The Gathering: Whatcha mean, there's no thread ye
You know what I just realized? Return to Ravnica block has the same "initials" as the original Ravnica block. It was originally Ravnica: City of Guilds, Guildpact, Dissension (RGD), and now it's Return to Ravnica, Gatecrash, Dragon's Maze (RGD). That's pretty cool.

Re: Magic: The Gathering: Whatcha mean, there's no thread ye
Essentially being raised on Pokemon, I'm very bad about selling cards. I just want to keep my collection... Even though I'm terrible at making constructed decks and could really use the money... Or even just the store credit. Hum... But I never know when I might use those cards, and trading is more ...

Re: Exiled Mafia - Sign Up
Hm, never sure how I feel about not having alignment revealed, since that kind of seems core to the strategy of Mafia, but sign me up anyways. Some mafia is still better than no mafia (unless you're town - what?).

Re: commodoreHustle Videos Showing Other LRR Productions
Desert Bus was a confirmed thing season 1 of cH, if I remember correctly. So... unless they just call it Desert Bus while actually playing other games... That said, they probably don't reset the console when they crash. They just let the tow truck take them the whole way back.

Ah, yeah, the Maze itself does make more sense. I don't know if it would be so narrow as to only relate to planeswalkers though. Seems like they'd want to keep it as relevant in Limited as in Standard.

Can you make an entire plane a land? "Ravnica: City of Guilds". Could tap for any two colors and do other crazy Ravnica things.

Re: Magic: The Gathering: Whatcha mean, there's no thread ye
If it does play into mechanics, Izzet/Dimir does make sense, with them both having non-creature mechanics. I dunno how well cipher works with overload, though, since you can't cast the card copy for its alternate cost. Based on flavor alone, I can see... Izzet/Simic (Experiments), Boros/Azorius (Law...

Re: Magic: The Gathering: Whatcha mean, there's no thread ye
The pre-release set up for Dragon's Maze sounds like it's going to be pretty crazy. Scratch that, the Dragon's Maze packs sound like they're going to be pretty crazy. Dual lands in the land slot? But also, secret allied guild packs? Sounds like they're definitely pushing three color for DGM.

Re: JRPG Mafia: TOWN WINS, SURVIVOR WINS
Oh, hey, my role wasn't vanilla after all. It didn't come into play, but... I guess that's good for town? Do I win even though I'm dead? Man allegiance in this game was complicated. Interesting, though!

Re: Gatecrash Prerelease Discussion.
Oh, wait, assemble the Legion is a rare. Huh, no wonder I couldn't remember what Jon and Marshall thought of it. 4-2 seems good, though, and your deck seems like it can get some nice evolve snowballs going, as you said it did. Really tempted to play Simic at tomorrow's, but I'll probably just go Bor...

Re: Fun Magic Decks
Not sure if this counts, but my FNM deck last night was a crazy 5-color deck that I got to do the best combo ever in, having an Axebane Guardian, 2 Gatecreeper Vines, a Lobber Crew and the Rix Maadi Guildmage on the field. There was much non-combat damage to be done.

Re: Gatecrash Prerelease Discussion.
So, I was a little disappointed that my local game shop decided to do 4-rounds instead of 5 like they used to and that it cost $30 instead of $25, but I ended up going 3-1 and winning 6 packs (4 Gatecrash, 2 Return to Ravnica) so I can't complain too much. Picked Dimir, barely got any cipher and onl...

Re: Forum Changes
It's alright if you don't feel there's enough forum games to give them their own section (although tabletop games has its own, and there are only two topics there), but it seems like it might be misleading to have them in an area called "Video Games". So, maybe it's just the name that need...

Re: Forum Changes
Seems a little weird to have forum games in the video game section. Dunno if you've thought about that already and decided against separating them simply for the practical purposes of not having to move that many more topics. Just thought I'd mention it.

Bloop, just realized I said "Simic" instead of "Dimir". If people didn't understand, I meant "I guess if I go Dimir, I might have access to at least some of the Orzhov and Simic cards..."

Re: Magic: The Gathering: Whatcha mean, there's no thread ye
I'm still trying to decide what guilds I want to play for the pre-release. I'm going to do my best to make it to two this time, and I want to choose two guilds that are different colors. Right now it's either Dimir (my favorite colors and chosen guild for Planeswalker points) and Boros (Because I do...

Then I'm just going to take a stab in the dark and vote for Iamafish, because they didn't say anything regarding Duckay's alignment confusion. *Shrugs* Based on my record so far, though, it probably isn't them. Oh well, gotta do something.
