Re: Closed Captioning on Youtube Videos...
I'll try to ask one of the crew about it at PAX.

Re: Closed Captioning on Youtube Videos...
We could also try it on Crapshots, which would be a much smaller time investment.

Closed Captioning on Youtube Videos...
I did not know this before, but apparently, there is a way to allow a closed Google+ community (like, one that is invite only) to add Closed Captions to a channel's Youtube videos. And since automated closed captions are complete nonsense garbage, this seams like a reasonable way to crowdsource CCin...

Oh yeah though I only seem to find JS Joust games at like 3 AM. Honestly I'm not sure that whole game isn't just a shared hallucinatory dream.

Re: PAX East 2015
The schedule's been announced. LRR panel is... at Noon on Sunday??? That's... odd, but OK! The LRR panel is the only thing I really have interest in. I'll probably end up at the Match Game- I mean, blankety blank panel, just to see Graham and Kathleen. <3 Otherwise nothing interests me, which is goo...

The other pass was claimed.
Also JoshTheater check your email. The email linked to your LRR account, that's the only one I had for you.

Re: Feminism general thread
Not everything is a conspiracy. The good thing about Wikipedia is it can be edited by everyone and the worst thing is it can be edited by everyone. There's a US tv evangelical whose page was edited to say he was a 'hardcore douchebag' (not anymore). I don't want to comment on the details of this pa...

Re: PAX East 2015
I've actually got ANOTHER 3-Day for PAX East available! (This isn't the one I've got for you, JoshTheater!) The PPL got offered a booth in the Diversity Lounge so I'm going to have an Exhibitor Badge. :O But that means the pass I was holding onto for me is up for grabs!

Re: Feminism general thread
I would guess most of the posts in this thread are arguing over semantics. I would call myself a feminist but I do not think I would have call myself that a few years ago even though my believes have not really changed. It is true that a lot of arguments happen over semantics, but words end up fram...

Re: Feminism general thread
When I say "I'm an egalitarian", the meaning is clear- I don't care who you are, you deserve the same rights as everyone else. Except it really doesn't. You think it does, because in your mind "equality for everyone!" seems easy and self evident. But what would that entail? How ...

Re: Exploding Kittens (Kickstarter) -- Kitty? BOOM!
Quoting Spike (@Iron_spike on twitter), Kickstarter is where you risk your fandom by asking them to invest on you, not where you go make them. Lots of people don't get that all the very succesful kickstarters, specially in artistic stuff, come from people who've been working on this for a long looo...

Re: Exploding Kittens (Kickstarter) -- Kitty? BOOM!
Internet + cats = money No. Internet + cats + Cartoonist with an Audience + Crude pictures of chubby people = money. Evidence: here's a cute cat-card game kickstarter that actually needs support . But it's not drawn by the Oatmeal, so it doesn't have a bazillion dollars. :/ Kickstarter is really mo...

Re: Exploding Kittens (Kickstarter) -- Kitty? BOOM!
Am I the only one who finds it kind of insane that a card game Kickstarter has raised 2.6 million dollars? I also don't at all understand the audience that The Oatmeal has managed to curate. Like... it's not a bad site, but where did all those readers come from??? No bad will intended just... I don'...

Re: Teach Me(et all) Your Religion!
A worship band, even more so than a regular band, has to work together to produce a cohesive vision for how each song should go and how the congregation should experience it. It's just as important to do this in a regular band. I don't think the "worship" part has anything to do with it. ...

I thought maybe pinstripes were ironic now or something. See, I think I'd have fun making anti-fashion a thing. Trying to make outfits that are so awful and clashing, that they're just ridiculous. But I don't know enough about fashion to even get there. I want to wear this coat with American flag p...

Met is spot-on with this one. Pinstripe suit jackets were ment to be super formal and now they're also a little out of date. I wish they'd all go away.
