Re: Loading Time - Flat Out

My was this one ever a long time coming. Still happy to have it finally see the light of day, though. :) Has the prank been discovered? I like to think this video was posted because the prank was just discovered. :) I wonder what the people in that office think of you... for some reason I imagine a...

Re: LRRcast for 2014-03-28

To further expand on my post: FTL is really easy if you use certain ship/strategy combos. For instance, if you're lucky enough to get 4 Burst Laser IIs, the final fight is incredibly easy. Combine that with the Weapon Pre-Igniter, and every other fight is over before it starts. Trying to win using a...

Re: LRRcast for 2014-03-28

Regarding FTL: It took me several runs until I got decent. Then it took me a bunch more runs til I could reliably get to the final battle. Then it took me a bunch more runs til I could reliably beat the game. Then it took me a bunch more runs til I got decent on Normal mode. Then it took me a bunch ...

a bit late, so I thought I'd post my roll up the rim card here? 3R - Roll Up the Rim sorcery Choose a card type (creature, enchantment, artifact, land, etc.), then reveal the top card of your deck. If the revealed card type is the same as the card type you chose, you may play that card without payi...

On a 1, exile Roll up the Rim. At the beginning of your next upkeep, cast Roll up the Rim without paying its mana cost. Wouldn't you rather have this as "the beginning of your next turn's main phase"? Otherwise, if you get a 1 the first try, and a 20 the second try, the mana is only avail...

Adding on to the notes about Pyroblast/Red Elemental Blast, it's particularly relevant with the Theros block cause Pyroblast can target any Heroic creature.

Are those the stairs from the training montage in Underpantaloons? Well spotted. I'd like to thank a steadicam for making this one better. While I haven't seen Rocky recently, it looked to me like you had the camera tracking pretty much dead-on to the original steadicam shot. I really enjoyed that!...

This is possibly my favorite episode of cH. I always love episodes of series that showcase the B-cast. As a quick note to the people asking, I don't know about Canadian laws, but in America you can't actually have bees shipped to a home address. You have to go pick them up at the post office. So yo...

Although I know this form of card overlay requires more work in post, I like it, because it means the four people present are all able to keep the conversation flowing, without one of them having to spend all their time showing us the cards. I know in this case you were "already in there" ...

Great episode, I continue to enjoy Kathleen fooling Graham into thinking she's even more of a crazy cat lady than is actually true. :) We talk about our cats wanting "moo cow" when they want beef, so her explanation didn't sound odd at all to me. ;) Off-topic, do you plan to post high-qual...

Nice episode. Graham, what was was going on with your mouth at the beginning of the first story? Looked like your jaw was seizing up or something. He has a speech impediment which they just edited out of Checkpoint previously, but since they're doing it live now, they can't. He's talked about it on...

On a technical accuracy note, Kathleen gave Sunkern a Glock, which has no safety you can switch off. (if the LRR replica pistol has a safety, then at least the line was based on the knowledge at hand). Cam, you need to use training grenades when teaching someone how to use one. That way you can, for...

I'm not sure that was because people were autopilot agreeing with Paul so much as there are people in the world who act like Paul's character, and presumably see nothing wrong with their behavior. For the green-screen effect, would it be possible to take handheld video footage of your background, then motion-track a tripod green-screen shot to match? I feel like the parallax effect would be lessened by doing this. I disagree with Kathleen's assertion that everywhere in Europe can be visited f...

If you can afford the initial outlay, I highly recommend business-class laptops. Many of my friends have had their laptops physically break on them in one way or another, so I think the ruggedness may help if it can keep you from having to buy another laptop soon after the warranty expires.

Since they're selling the Toyota 86 as a Scion in North America, I'd say that doesn't qualify. The rest of their lineup is silly-looking though.
