Re: Crusader Kings II

Well, I just think back to when I was a minor noble; I spent most of my time dicking on elder brothers & tended to leave the king alone. Even then it didn't work, and I had to wait for the English to capture him

Re: Introduce yourselves! (A friendly topic for new members)

It never really came up when I was looking around tbh; I'm told it's a great place and one of my mates' older brother is moving back there from Bath to do his PhD. But it just never really showed up when looking at Engineering degrees (although neither did Brunel, which shows how much I know). Lough...

Re: Introduce yourselves! (A friendly topic for new members)

Since it's come up, I should probably mention that I live about 25 miles from oxford and have a mate studying mat science there. Was considering Oxbridge for uni but didn't feel like I'd suit the environment, so been looking elsewhere

Re: Crusader Kings II

I tend not to have too much of a problem with rebelling factions, probably since I tend to never bother raising crown authority; if they give me cash and money in any reasonable supply then I'm quite happy for them to fight the rest out among themselves (this may also be because I've got a gavel kin...

Re: Crusader Kings II

Don't know if this forum still counts as alive, but here we go... I have a couple of campaigns going semi-on at the moment; one a late-twelfth century campaign as Norway, having usurped Mr Hardrada and spent my time ticking through religious wars in Finland and Russia. By some obscure fluke of marri...

Re: Advice Thread

I kinda have the same semi-OCD thing of hating there being that white part. There is a hypnotherapy solution that apparently works and that I am not qualified to talk about in any great detail, so that might be something if you care far, far too much about this. Related to the trimming point, you mi...

Re: Introduce yourselves! (A friendly topic for new members)

Does this rule apply solely to human souls or do I have to go and dig up the armadillo skeletons?

Re: Introduce yourselves! (A friendly topic for new members)

Er... Hello Internet I am a British 17 year old, still in school but off to uni next year. Been watching LRR just over a year now. Divide my time between rugby, beating stuff up, and spending far too much time on the interwebs. As a result, perpetually single. Suffer from mild depression, and an und...

Re: The depressing depression thread

For everyone who has suffered with their monsters during 2012, I offer this as a completely irrelevant comment that I like to hold on to: "Tough times don't last. Tough people do"

Re: Advice Thread

How do I stop myself biting my nails? I found out a couple of years that the trick was not to concentrate on 'don't bit nails' but think more 'try to grow nails'; dunno if it's the positive goal that worked or what. Worked for me for a good two months, before I realised that I found longer nails re...
